THE RESULTS ARE IN! 🌊

Congratulations to all winners of the FLOWS: The Whirl Short Video Challenge!

The winning entry, a joint advocacy video of Matalam High School and Bulakanon High School, was created by selected student leaders and is a powerful reflection of their learning from the FLOWS: The Whirl Symposium of Metro Kidapawan Water District.

Within just 90 seconds, these young advocates transformed insights into action, producing original, youth-led content aligned with the theme β€œWater Secure and Climate Sure for a Resilient Future.” Their work highlights the vital role of the youth in promoting water sustainability, climate resilience, and social responsibility.

With 70% of the score based on social media engagement, your support truly made a difference.

Let this be more than a messageβ€”
be mindful of water use, protect local resources, support sustainable practices, and take part in building resilient communities.

Because every conscious choice today shapes a stronger, safer tomorrow. πŸ’§

MATALAM HIGH SCHOOL LEARNERS JOIN SHAPE-A CAMP 2026

Ten (10) selected learners from Matalam High School (Poblacion), who are officers of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), are currently participating in the Sexually Healthy and Personally Empowered Adolescents (SHAPE-A) Camp, now ongoing from April 22–24, 2026 at The Basket, Amas, Kidapawan City.

The three-day camp, conducted under the Adolescent Health and Development Program, brings together youth leaders from across the province in a comprehensive initiative aimed at strengthening their knowledge, skills, and values as responsible and empowered adolescents. The activity highlights key aspects of adolescent development, including sexual and reproductive health, self-awareness, and the promotion of healthy relationships.

Representing Matalam High School (Poblacion) are:
Angel Faith E. Amihan, Marc Joseph P. Porras, Shana Dazhly Ebbylizel O. Vilano, Kym Audrey M. Funa, Justine C. Araneta, Leonard John M. Ramos, Sharina D. Mangrar, Datu Shaden L. Butch, Precious Jewel B. Fanuncio, and Nor-Ali S. Panegas.

Also participating in the camp as facilitators are Shy D. Siobal, Crizel Joy V. Hechanova, Ian Jim B. Ibba, and Myra Sol I. Molina, who are alumni participants of previous SHAPE-A camps and now serve as peer educators guiding the current batch.

Following the camp, the SSLG participants are expected to roll out and cascade their learnings through school-based and community initiatives, extending the impact of the SHAPE-A program to fellow learners in Matalam and nearby secondary schools.
