As Typhoon Uwan approaches, let’s remember: Planting trees isn’t just about beauty — it’s our shield. In places like Zambales, where mining has stripped the land bare, planting helps restore nature’s defenses. Trees absorb rain, reduce flooding, and hold the soil together. Without them, typhoons hit harder.

Jicob Edquibal, G10 REP of YES-O, reminds us that every seed planted is a stand against erosion, disaster, and climate damage. Let’s rebuild what mining has taken, and prepare our communities for the storms ahead.
