Today, we commemorate the 40𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 1986 𝙀𝘿𝙎𝘼 𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙋𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 ✊. To us, this isn’t just another chapter in a history book📚. It is a reminder of the time ⌛ Filipinos stood as one to reclaim our rights and restore our democracy. It was a moment when bravery outweighed fear, proving that unity can change the course of a nation.

We carry this history with us to ensure that the sacrifices made four decades ago aren’t lost to time. It serves as our guide and our reminder that the power to shape a better, more just Philippines 🇵🇭 lies in our hands. We look back so we can move forward, committed to protecting the freedoms we enjoy today.

Here is today’s weather update from PAGASA, shared by the Batang Empowered Resiliency Team or BERT, issued at 4:00 AM today, January 28, 2026.

The Northeast Monsoon, also known as Amihan, continues to affect Luzon and Visayas. For Masbate and most parts of the Visayas, we can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. No significant impact is expected, but brief rain showers may still occur.

Some areas such as Caraga and Southern Leyte may experience scattered rains and thunderstorms, which could cause flooding or landslides. Parts of Mindanao may also have isolated thunderstorms later in the day.

For Masbate and nearby areas, we can expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and possible thunderstorms caused by a weather system called the Shear Line. Because of moderate to heavy rains, there may be a risk of flash floods or landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas.

Winds may be moderate to strong, and coastal waters may be moderate to rough, so families with members going out to sea are advised to be cautious.

⚠️ EXPECT HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING
Updated as of December 6, 2025 (Saturday) — Masbate City

Heavy rainfall may occur at least every 3 hours, and weather conditions may change without warning.
As of today, Masbate City is under cloudy to rainy conditions, with light to moderate rains expected due to the effects of Tropical Depression “Wilma” and the shear line affecting parts of Southern Luzon and nearby regions.

A Flood Advisory remains in effect for areas in Bicol, including Masbate. Residents in low-lying barangays, riverbanks, and landslide-prone zones are advised to stay alert as flash floods and landslides may occur.

As of 8:00 AM today, August 26, 2025. The 𝙇𝙤𝙬-𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙚𝙖 (𝙇𝙋𝘼) 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙞𝙧𝙪𝙢𝙖, 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙎𝙪𝙧. According to PAGASA, it still has the potential to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours ⌛.
