To prepare for an earthquake, create a family emergency plan, assemble a survival kit, and secure heavy objects in your home. During the earthquake, practice "𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐩, 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐎𝐧" to protect yourself from falling debris. After the shaking stops, check for injuries and hazards like gas leaks, listen to authorities for instructions, and be ready for aftershocks.
