DISCERNING OF THE SPIRITS — PART II DONE!

Finally, Part II ng “Discerning of the Spirits” is done! Another meaningful step sa ating Module 3 — Holy Spirit.

Kaunti na lang, at mas lalo nating napapatibay hindi lang ang ating knowledge kundi ang ating biblical understanding and doctrine concerning the Holy Spirit.

Sabi sa 1 John 4:1:

“Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.”

Napaka-relevant nito sa panahon natin ngayon.

Ang daming voices.
Ang daming opinions.
Ang daming spiritual claims.
Ang daming teachings na mukhang biblical sa unang tingin.

Kaya hindi sapat na tanungin natin:

“Nakaka-amaze ba?”
“Nakaka-emotional ba?”
“Marami bang naniniwala?”

Mas mahalagang itanong:

“Tugma ba ito sa Salita ng Diyos?”**

Ang biblical discernment ay hindi pagiging suspicious sa lahat. Hindi rin ito paghahanap ng masama sa bawat bagay.

Discernment is learning to recognize what is true, test what we hear, and respond according to God's Word.

Parang isang bagong believer na natututong kumilala ng boses.

Habang mas nakikilala niya ang genuine, mas napapansin niya kapag may hindi tugma.

Kaya sa discipleship, hindi lang natin tinuturuan ang isang tao kung ano ang dapat paniwalaan. Tinuturuan din natin siyang bakit niya ito dapat paniwalaan at paano niya ito susuriin ayon sa Scripture.

At sa panahon ngayon, napakahalaga nito—lalo na kapag may struggles, confusion, temptation, at iba't ibang influences sa paligid.

Paano natin mapapalago ang spiritual discernment?

1. Know the Word deeply.
Hindi mo masusuri ang counterfeit kung hindi mo kilala ang genuine. Read Scripture consistently.

2. Test spiritual claims.
Huwag agad maniwala dahil lamang sinabi ng isang respected person. Compare teaching with Scripture.

3. Pray for wisdom.
James 1:5 reminds us that God gives wisdom to those who ask Him.

4. Observe the fruit.
Jesus taught that we can recognize people by their fruit (Matthew 7:15–20). Look at character, teaching, and resulting behavior—not just presentation.

5. Don't let emotions become your only guide.
Strong feelings can be real, but feelings alone are not sufficient proof that something is from God.

6. Seek mature and biblical counsel.
Discernment grows in community. Be willing to listen to mature believers who can correct and challenge you.

7. Stay humble.
Discernment is not a license to say, “Ako lang ang tama.” A discerning Christian remains teachable.

“The more deeply you know the truth, the less easily you will be impressed by what merely looks spiritual.”

Kaya nakaka-excite ang continuation ng Module 3 Holy Spirit!

Hindi lang tayo nag-aaral para magkaroon ng additional knowledge.

We are learning so we can live wisely.

Learning to distinguish:

Truth from error.
God's voice from human opinion.
Biblical conviction from personal preference.
Spiritual maturity from spiritual appearance.

And the goal is never simply to become good at identifying what is wrong.

The goal is to become more faithful to what is true.

Keep studying.
Keep testing.
Keep praying.
Keep growing.

IDP of C Uno Chapter is Lit! — Learning to Discern

IDP (Intentional Discipleship Program) of C Uno Chapter is lit!
Glory to God sa buhay ng Batch 1 at sa desire nilang hindi lang matuto tungkol sa Holy Spirit, kundi mas makilala ang Kanyang gawain at matutong mag-discern ayon sa Scripture.*l

Isa sa mga eye-opener talaga ang pag-aaral tungkol sa Discerning of Spirits.

“Huwag ninyong paniwalaan ang bawat espiritu, kundi subukin ninyo ang mga espiritu kung sila ay mula sa Diyos...” — 1 John 4:1

Napaka-relevant nito sa panahon ngayon.

Ang daming teachings online.
Ang daming spiritual claims.
Ang daming nagsasabing, God told me...”
At minsan, dahil Christian ang language, automatic nating tinatanggap.

Pero sa discipleship, natututo tayong huminto at magtanong:

Biblical ba ito?
Tugma ba ito sa character at teaching ni Christ?
Ano ang bunga nito?
Nasusubok ba ito sa Salita ng Diyos?

Doon natin makikita na ang discernment ay hindi pagiging mapaghinala sa lahat.

Hindi rin ito mind reading.
Hindi ito spiritual gossip.
Hindi ito simpleng “feeling ko mali siya.”

Biblical discernment is learning to distinguish truth from error and spiritual influence through the standard of God's Word.

Kaya far more than simply collecting Bible knowledge, discipleship brings clarity.

May mga bagay na dati ay confusing.
May mga spiritual experiences na dati ay automatic nating pinaniniwalaan.
May mga teachings na kailangan pala nating suriin nang mabuti.

At habang mas malalim ang pag-aaral, mas natututunan nating hindi lahat ng impressive ay from God, at hindi lahat ng unfamiliar ay automatically wrong.

Paano matutong mag-discern nang tama?

1. Know the Scripture.
Hindi ka makakapag-test ng teaching kung hindi mo alam ang standard na gagamitin mo.

2. Test, don't instantly accept.
1 John 4:1 says to test the spirits. Spiritual maturity includes examination.

3. Look at the fruit.
Does it lead people toward Christ, truth, holiness, humility, and love—or toward pride, fear, manipulation, and division?

4. Don't confuse feelings with revelation.
Minsan tama ang concern natin; minsan mali rin. Bring impressions back to Scripture and wise counsel.

5. Stay humble and accountable.
A person who says, “May discernment ako, therefore unquestionable ako,” has already misunderstood the purpose of the gift.

6. Keep Christ at the center.
The goal of discernment is not to become experts at finding demons or exposing people. The goal is to remain faithful to Christ and protect the church from deception.

“Discernment is not the ability to suspect everyone; it is the discipline of testing everything while remaining anchored in truth.”

C Uno Chapter, keep learning. Keep asking questions. Keep opening the Word.

Because intentional discipleship is not simply about knowing more.

It is about becoming disciples who know how to think biblically, recognize truth, reject deception, love people, and follow Christ faithfully.

Batch 1, tuloy lang.
The deeper we study, the clearer we become.
The clearer we become, the wiser we respond.
And the wiser we respond, the more useful we become in serving the Body of Christ.

IDP is not just information.
It is formation.
It is discernment.
It is transformation.

THE TRUE VINE & THE FRUITFUL BRANCHES

7 Great I AM Series — DONE!

What a beautiful and meaningful journey! Natapos na natin ang huling topic ng 7 Great I AM Series, and we are truly excited and thankful sa bawat lesson, discussion, tanong, realization, at pagkakataon na sama-sama nating natutunan ang tungkol kay Jesus.

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.” — John 15:1

Sa John 15, malinaw ang picture ni Jesus: Siya ang True Vine, at tayo ang branches. Hindi ang branch ang source ng buhay nito. Hindi rin nito kayang mamunga nang hiwalay sa vine.

Kaya grabe pala kapag nahiwalay ka sa pinaka-Source ng lahat, ano?

Pwedeng busy ka pero walang spiritual fruit.
Pwedeng marami kang ginagawa pero unti-unting nauubos ang strength.
Pwedeng active ka sa ministry pero disconnected ang heart mo kay Jesus.

At dito natin makikita ang simple pero malalim na truth:

Hindi tayo tinawag ni Jesus na basta maging busy branches. Tinawag Niya tayong manatiling connected branches na namumunga.

Sa Bible Study journey, hindi naman ibig sabihin na kapag natapos ang isang series ay tapos na rin ang journey. The lesson may be finished, but discipleship continues. Ang tunay na goal ay hindi lamang matapos ang topics, kundi mas makilala si Cristo, mas manatili sa Kanya, at makita ang bunga ng Kanyang buhay sa atin.

Paano hindi matatapos ang connection natin kay Jesus?

1. Stay in the Word.
John 15:7 reminds us to let His words remain in us. Huwag hayaang Bible Study lang ang panahon na nakikinig tayo sa Salita.

2. Stay in prayer.
Connection requires communication. Hindi lang tayo nagsasalita kay Jesus kapag may problema; araw-araw natin Siyang kausapin.

3. Stay connected to His people.
Christian growth is not designed to happen in isolation. We need the encouragement, correction, accountability, and fellowship of the Church.

4. Stay obedient.
Ang connection kay Jesus ay hindi lang emotional feeling. John 15 connects abiding with obedience. What we learn must eventually become what we live.

5. Keep bearing fruit.
Love, patience, faithfulness, holiness, service, forgiveness—these are not merely things we talk about. These are evidences that we are abiding in Christ.

6. Keep coming back to the Source.
Kapag nanghina, bumalik. Kapag nadapa, bumalik. Kapag naging busy, bumalik. Kapag parang walang bunga, huwag agad sumuko—**check the connection.**

“A branch does not produce fruit by trying harder to be a branch; it produces fruit by remaining connected to the vine.”

Kaya Warriors, hindi ending ang pagtatapos ng 7 Great I AM Series. Isa lamang itong reminder na habang nagpapatuloy tayo sa discipleship journey, may isang bagay na hindi dapat mawala: our connection to Jesus.

The series is done. The journey continues.
The lesson is finished. The discipleship continues.
And the Vine remains Jesus.

HOLY SPIRIT MODULE: WORD OF WISDOM & WORD OF KNOWLEDGE

Done! Another glorious and enlightening night of learning!

Kahit online, ramdam pa rin ang excitement na mas makilala natin ang work and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Natapos natin ang discussion tungkol sa Difference Between the Word of Wisdom and the Word of Knowledge, and once again, we are reminded that spiritual gifts are not simply something to admire—they are gifts entrusted by God to be understood, practiced, and used for the edification of others.

“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.” — 1 Corinthians 12:1

Napakahalaga ng verse na ito sa discipleship. Ayaw ni Paul na manatiling ignorant ang believers tungkol sa spiritual gifts. Knowledge must lead to maturity, and maturity must lead to faithful service.

Parang Bible Study journey din natin: hindi naman agad-agad perfect ang understanding. May mga bagay na kailangan nating balikan, itanong, pag-aralan, at higit sa lahat, isabuhay. The goal is not simply to say, “Alam ko na ang Word of Wisdom at Word of Knowledge.” The bigger question is:

“Paano ko gagamitin ang anumang ipinagkaloob ng Diyos para makatulong sa ibang tao at maitaas si Cristo?”

At dito pumapasok ang tamang discernment. Hindi lahat ng impression, feeling, or spiritual experience ay automatic na galing sa Holy Spirit. Kaya mahalaga ang Salita ng Diyos, prayer, character, accountability, and testing.

Paano natin mae-enhance ang spiritual gifts?

1. Grow deeper in the Word.
The gifts must operate within biblical truth. Mas kilala natin ang genuine kapag mas pamilyar tayo sa Scripture.

2. Develop a consistent prayer life.
Prayer keeps our hearts dependent on God rather than on our own ability.

3. Practice with humility.
Spiritual gifts are not trophies. They are tools for ministry. Use them to serve, not to impress.

4. Learn to receive correction.
Mature believers should be willing to be tested, corrected, and guided by godly leaders and Scripture.

5. Focus on edification.
Ask: “Makakatulong ba ito sa paglago ng taong kaharap ko? Maitataas ba nito si Cristo?”

6. Stay connected to discipleship and the local Church.
Gifts grow healthier when they are developed within community, accountability, teaching, and actual ministry opportunities.

“Spiritual gifts become powerful when spiritual maturity becomes their foundation.”

Kaya congratulations, everyone! Module completed—but the learning continues. Keep studying, keep praying, keep practicing, and keep growing.

Huwag kalimutan ang assignment and online video memory verse. Gawin natin hindi dahil requirement lang, kundi dahil bawat exercise ay bahagi ng preparation natin to become more equipped servants of Christ.

Know the gift.
Understand the gift.
Develop the gift.

And always glorify the Giver.

MENS FELLOWSHIP: FAMILY LOVE

Finally, nakausad din sa MENS Fellowship, and what a blessing it was to spend the night learning about Family Love.

Napakahalaga na maibalik natin ang Diyos sa gitna ng ating pamilya. Sa panahon ngayon, madaling maging busy, magkaroon ng misunderstandings, at minsan ay magkanya-kanya. Pero ang biblical family is not simply a group of people living under one roof—it is a relationship that should be continually shaped by God’s Word and love.

“As for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15

Sa context ng verse na ito, si Joshua ay hindi lang gumagawa ng personal declaration. He was calling the people to make a deliberate decision about whom they would serve. May choices ang bawat pamilya, pero malinaw ang commitment ni Joshua: This household would choose the Lord.

Kaya ang family discipleship starts with us.

Bago natin turuan ang pamilya na manalangin, makita muna nila tayong nananalangin.
Bago natin turuan silang magpatawad, makita muna nila tayong marunong magpatawad.
Bago natin sabihin na mahalaga ang Church, makita muna nila ang consistency natin sa pagsunod kay Cristo.

Because sometimes, the strongest sermon our family will ever hear is the life they see us live every day.

Para sa mga MENS na gustong lumago at makatulong sa paglago ng iba:

1. Lead by example.
Hindi perfection ang kailangan ng pamilya, kundi isang lider na marunong magsisi, matuto, at bumalik kay Cristo.

2. Make spiritual conversations normal.
Mag-usap tungkol sa Bible, prayer, struggles, decisions, at faith—not only during Church activities.

3. Build consistency.
Small habits matter: praying together, attending Church, joining fellowship, serving, and checking on one another.

4. Don't isolate disciples from the Church.
Tulungan silang magkaroon ng community, accountability, at opportunity to serve. Ang healthy disciple ay hindi lang present sa fellowship; connected, growing, and serving.

5. Teach them to multiply.
Ang goal ay hindi magkaroon ng disciples na forever dependent sa teacher. We want disciples who eventually become disciple-makers.

“A strong family is not a family without problems; it is a family that knows where to return when problems come—back to God.”

Kaya brothers, MENS is more than a fellowship. It is an opportunity to become men who lead with love, serve with humility, and build families centered on Christ.

DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM — BATCH 1 | STO. NIÑO BS OUTREACH & C UNO CHAPTER

Growth Series Module 3: “The Holy Spirit”

What a powerful and meaningful time together! Another discipleship gathering filled with learners, volunteer workers, meaningful conversations, prayer, and a deeper desire to know the Holy Spirit.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…” — Acts 1:8

The Holy Spirit is not simply a topic that we study.

He is the One who empowers us to live the Christian life and become witnesses for Christ.

Kaya habang pinag-aaralan natin ang Module 3, hindi lang natin gustong malaman who the Holy Spirit is — we also want to understand how He works in our lives, how He transforms our character, and how we can faithfully respond to His leading.

Sa discipleship, may mga bagay na hindi agad natin naiintindihan sa unang lesson.

May mga tanong.

May mga doubts.

May mga areas of our lives na kailangan pang isurrender.

Pero that is part of the journey.

We learn. We ask. We pray. We obey. We grow.

And sometimes, the greatest testimony is not that we suddenly know everything, but that we become more willing to allow God to change us.

“The Holy Spirit does not simply give us gifts for ministry; He forms us into people who can faithfully use those gifts for Christ.”

Kaya excited tayo sa susunod!

And yes—

Holy Spirit, activate the gifts!

Hindi para sa personal recognition.

Hindi para magpasikat.

Hindi para magkaroon ng title.

But for service, edification, and the glory of God.

As Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12:4–7, there are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit, and these gifts are given for the common good.

Para lumago ang mga tinuturuan at hindi mawala sa Church:

1. Teach them who the Holy Spirit is—not only what He can do.
Start with biblical understanding. The Holy Spirit is not merely a power or feeling; He is the Spirit of God who works in and through believers.

2. Encourage questions and honest conversations.
A disciple who asks questions is not necessarily weak in faith. Give them space to understand Scripture properly.

3. Connect spiritual gifts with character.
A gift should never become more important than godly character. The fruit of the Spirit matters alongside the gifts of the Spirit.

4. Give them opportunities to serve.
Let them discover and develop their gifts through actual ministry—while providing proper guidance and accountability.

5. Teach them to discern.
Not every feeling, idea, or spiritual experience automatically comes from God. Encourage them to test everything against Scripture and godly wisdom.

6. Make intercession part of discipleship.
Don't just teach them to serve; teach them to pray. Ask God for wisdom, strength, spiritual maturity, and opportunities to be used for His purposes.

7. Keep multiplication as the goal.
The learner today can become the teacher tomorrow. The volunteer worker today can become the mentor of the next generation.

Because discipleship is not simply:

“Matuto ka.”

It is:

“Matuto ka, lumago ka, maglingkod ka, at turuan mo rin ang iba.”

Sto. Niño BS Outreach and C Uno Chapter, this is only another chapter of the journey.

More learning.
More immersion.
More intercession.
More opportunities to serve.

And may our prayer always be:

“Holy Spirit, teach us. Transform us. Empower us. And use us.”

Not simply to become better workers—

but to become better disciples of Jesus who can help others follow Him.
