JHOAN'S DRIVE FOR LIFE 💖
We're pretty sure Jhoan touched your life in one way or another, but if you haven't had the chance to meet her yet, let us introduce you.
Jhoan is a one-of-a-kind woman—she's a loving mother to her only daughter, a devoted wife to her husband Hermes, a caring sister to her twin and younger sister, a generous daughter to her parents, a furmom to Noah, and a doting mommyla to Julio, all at the age of 52. She's also a dedicated member of the MFC community, but above all, Jhoan is a fighter—a very brave one.
In October 2022, Jhoan was diagnosed with stage 2A cancer, a rare and aggressive type known as Triple-Negative Metaplastic Sarcomatoid Breast Carcinoma. She underwent a mastectomy and multiple rounds of chemotherapy. Though she completed her chemotherapy in 2023, the battle was far from over.
Later that same year, we received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to her lungs. Undeterred, Jhoan courageously decided to go on another round of chemotherapy, hoping to rid her body of the disease. Despite everything, she continued to work as an administrative assistant, sustaining her treatments and providing additional support for her elderly parents, whom she holds dear. Her husband, Hermes, retired in March 2022, never expecting that nearly all of his hard-earned retirement savings would be spent on Jhoan's treatments.
Given the aggressive nature of her cancer, we discovered in August 2024 that it had metastasized to her brain, forming multiple tumors that now affect her balance, vision, and, heartbreakingly, her memory. 😔
This is undoubtedly the most challenging time, not only for Jhoan but for her family and friends who love her dearly.
Due to the size and number of her brain tumors, whole brain radiation is now the most viable treatment option. The goal is to stabilize her condition, allowing her to continue enjoying life while bravely battling this terrible disease.
Over the past two years, we've exhausted every resource to cover for her medical expenses, and we refuse to give up now. We are determined to keep fighting for Jhoan, and we believe she deserves better days ahead.
This is why we're sharing her story with you—to ask for your support in our fight against cancer.
Every purchase of the Hope shirt will help support her ongoing therapies, medications, and daily expenses. Together, we can help Jhoan continue her fight. 💪💕
