📍 BIR Regional Kick-Off • February 18, 2026 – Sta. Lucia East

PCCI-NM President Jonathan Tayawa and Chairman Jundio Salvador, were honored to participate in the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s Regional Kick-Off led by Commissioner Charlito Mendoza, where public-private collaboration took center stage. Representing the business sector through PCCI-New Marikina, we reaffirmed our commitment to advancing a more efficient, transparent, and supportive tax ecosystem.
A key highlight of the event was the BIR’s DARES reform agenda — a five-point strategy emphasizing Digital and Data Transformation, Audit Reform and Accountability, Revenue Protection, Employee Empowerment, and Service Excellence and Stakeholder Engagement — designed to strengthen voluntary compliance, enhance service delivery, and foster trust between the government and the business community.

Together, we look forward to meaningful reforms that support business growth, improve ease of doing business, and drive inclusive economic progress for our region and nation.

The newly elected PCCI–NM officers, together with selected Board of Trustees members and committee heads—who also serve as presidents of the various Marikina business alliance associations—opened the year with a full-day strategic planning session to align leadership, priorities, and direction.

This focused and well-organized planning laid the groundwork for a unified vision, clear goals, and actionable strategies that will strengthen advocacy, enhance member services, and improve coordination across alliances. A disciplined strategic plan enables faster decision-making, efficient use of resources, and stronger collaboration—translating leadership intent into concrete programs, sustainable growth, and lasting impact for the Marikina business community.
