DOST Tech Support for Food Caterers

DOST-NCR Regional Director Engr. Romelen Tresvalles, recently hosted a consultation meeting with the Food Caterers Association of the Philippines (FCAP) at the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel.

Chairman Danny Jacinto and FCAP President Francis Sevilla Jr. joined the discussions to evaluate the current situation of the food service industry. The aim of this consultation meeting is to build a practical R&D roadmap that brings new technology, better productivity, and stronger support to local food caterers.

FCAP attended the Opening of the 18th Philippine Food Expo

The Food Caterers Association of the Philippines (FCAP) attended the opening of the 18th Philippine Food Expo at the World Trade Center.

The ceremony was led by DTI Secretary Maria Cristina Aldeguer-Roque, who emphasized the importance of supporting local MSMEs, and Undersecretary Cheryl Marie Natividad-Caballero, who highlighted the need for a resilient agricultural supply chain. They were joined by Philfoodex President Ruben See, as well as the leadership of FCAP, represented by President Francis T. Sevilla, Jr. and Chairman Danny Jacinto.

During the event, the FCAP leadership had a chance to personally thank DTI Secretary Roque for the inclusion of the association in the Shared Services Facility (SSF) Project in Marikina City, which provides essential equipment and resources to boost the productivity of local caterers. Additionally, the group held a short meeting with Undersecretary Caballero to discuss the current crisis affecting the country's food supply and explore potential programs that can help the catering industry navigate these challenges and stabilize operations.
