WHAT ATHEISM UNKNOWINGLY REVEALS ABOUT GOD
Have you ever wondered why no one calls themselves “anti-Santa” or “a-non-unicornist”?
Wala tayong nakikitang movement na kumokontra kay Santa Claus o unicorns.
Walang nagra-rant online, walang nagtatayo ng mga organization para patunayan na si Santa
ay hindi totoo.
Bakit kaya?
Because deep down, we all know they’re not real.
Pero interesting ‘no?
There are people who passionately call themselves atheists.
They debate, they write books, they argue endlessly online — even getting angry at the very
idea of God.
And that should make us pause and ask:
Why fight so hard against someone you believe doesn’t exist?
The very existence of atheism tells us something profound:
The idea of God is not like a myth or fairy tale,
it’s something deeply rooted and unavoidable in human consciousness.
Every human being has an inborn awareness of God,
what theologians call the “sense of the divine.”
Ito ‘yung dahilan kung bakit naghahanap tayo ng kahulugan, ng moralidad, ng layunin.
And yes, it’s also why some people feel the need to reject that awareness.
Because to accept that God is real… means to accept accountability.
Romans 1:19–21 reminds us:
“What can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to
them. For His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature have been
clearly perceived… so they are without excuse.”
Hindi kakulangan ng evidence ang problema kundi kakulangan ng pagtanggap.
People don’t deny God because He’s invisible;they deny Him because His truth is inconvenient.
No one spends time denying what they already know isn’t real.
Yet, Atheists spend much time and energy denying God.
So the question isn’t “Does God exist?”
but rather, “Why do we resist what we know to be true?”
Atheism, then, isn’t proof of God’s absence:
it’s a reflection of humanity’s inner struggle with the God who is undeniably there.
Pero tandaan natin:
This isn’t a call to mock or attack atheists.
Instead, it’s a call to understand that behind every rejection of God, there’s often a story, a
wound, or a misunderstanding.
When someone says, “I don’t believe in God,”
you can gently ask:
“Can you tell me about the God you don’t believe in?
Maybe I don’t believe in that version either.”
Because many don’t reject the true God, they reject a distorted image they inherited from pain,
hypocrisy, or religion.
The presence of atheists doesn’t disprove God.
In fact, it quietly testifies that the awareness of God is inescapable.
Deep in every human heart lies the question:
“What if He really is there?”
No one calls themselves anti-Santa because we all know Santa isn’t real.
But many call themselves atheists because deep down, they know God is.
The existence of atheism doesn’t erase God.
It reveals that His presence is undeniable even to those who resist it.
Let your thoughts be captive in Christ.
Be captivated, stay captivated!
