It was a wonderful evening filled with laughter, meaningful fellowship, and lots of good food. Thank you for making the night special just by being there.

Sometimes, the words we say in ordinary moments become the words our spouse remembers the most.

Let's choose words that encourage, uplift, and strengthen the one God has entrusted to us.

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." - Ephesians 4:29

May our words bring strength, grace, and joy to our homes. 💙

Sometimes love is simply taking the time to listen and understand. 🤍

Give your spouse your full attention. Remove distractions. Put down your phone, turn off the TV, and be fully present.

“Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” — James 1:19

Tonight was filled with food, fellowship, and meaningful conversations as we gathered together to strengthen our marriages. ❤️

We were reminded that better communication is a skill and every couple can learn it.

We also learned that through LSS, we can strengthen our relationship:

👂 Listen to learn.
💬 Speak to strengthen.
🤝 Solve side by side.

Thank you to all the couples who joined us tonight. We pray that the lessons, laughter, and connections we shared will continue to bless your marriages and homes.

Looking forward to more moments of learning, growing, and building stronger relationships together.

Marriage is a beautiful reminder that love is not just about the good days. ❤️

It’s about learning, adjusting, forgiving, and choosing each other again and again.

What is one thing marriage has taught you?

A young man was preparing to get married. Wanting to be a good husband, he made a list of 50 rules his future wife should follow.

The list included things like:

-Always keep the house clean.
-Always prepare his favorite meals.
-Never argue with him.
-Always greet him with a smile.
-Respect his decisions.

And many other expectations.

He kept the list, convinced that these rules would make their marriage successful.

After they got married, however, reality was very different. His wife wasn't perfect. She had strengths, weaknesses, good days, and bad days—just like him.

As the months and years passed, he discovered something surprising:

Not even one of his 50 rules truly mattered.

Instead, he learned that what sustained their marriage wasn't a list of expectations but love, grace, forgiveness, patience, understanding, and commitment.

Eventually he threw away the list because he realized:

A successful marriage isn't built on finding someone who meets all your expectations; it's built on choosing to love an imperfect person every day.

"Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance." -1 Corinthians 13:7

Our Devoted Season 2 Couples Retreat was a meaningful and unforgettable experience, a time of reconnecting, reflecting, learning, and allowing God to work in our marriages.

To every couple who joined us, thank you for making your marriage a priority. Thank you for taking the time to step away from the busyness of life and choose to invest in the relationship God has entrusted to you. May the love, lessons, and commitments we shared continue to grow in your homes.

To our amazing volunteers, thank you for your servant hearts. From preparing and cooking meals, caring for the children, and doing many things behind the scenes, your dedication and willingness to serve brought so much joy and made this retreat possible.

To all who supported us financially, thank you for your generosity and kindness. Your support was more than a contribution; it was an investment in marriages, families, and relationships that honor God.

Every prayer, every preparation, every meal served, every child cared for, and every act of generosity played an important part in making this retreat meaningful.

We are grateful for each person who became part of this journey. Together, we witnessed God’s goodness and faithfulness as He reminded us that marriage is a beautiful journey of love, grace and choosing each other every day.

We are excited for what God will continue to do in our marriages and families.

Can’t wait for Devoted Season 3! ☺️🙏
