Hindi kumpleto ang Marikina food trip kung walang uwing Mylene’s Bakeshop!

Legit staple na 'to sa Marikina. Kung hindi niyo pa na-try, kilalang-kilala sila for their pastries, especially yung signature Cheesy Ensaymada at Moist Banana Cakes.

Here are some of the crowd favorites:

Cheesy Ensaymada: Super lambot at hindi tinipid sa butter at cheese! May Salted Egg at toasted versions din sila kung gusto niyo maiba. May boxes din sila ng minis na perfect pang-gift.

Moist Banana Cake: Literal na moist, soft but firm to the bite. Pwedeng plain, may walnut, or chocolate chip.

Other Pastries: Cheese rolls and Brazo de Mercedes cupcakes.

Kung naghahanap kayo ng tahimik at maluwag na tambayan, you have to check out Cafe Nerissa!

Ang ganda ng modern industrial garden vibe nila, super relaxing. Indoor and outdoor dining pa. Also pet-friendly yung place. Malaking bonus din na hindi kayo mamomroblema sa parking!

A garden oasis right in the middle of Marikina! 🌿

Kung gusto niyo ng literal na nature trip pero ayaw niyong lumayo, you have to check out Jo & Maria's Garden Café along Mayor Gil Fernando Ave.

Super relaxing ng vibe dito. Meron silang lush outdoor seating, cozy interior, at may sarili pa silang Urban Aquaponic farm sa loob! Perfect escape siya kung gusto niyo lang ng tahimik na kapehan sa hapon.

Ito yung mga inorder namin for our merienda trip:

We got the Beef Nachos, Beef & Jalapeno Quesadillas, and Truffle Parmesan Fries. Pero ang pinaka-interesting dito ay yung Everlasting Dip nila with toasted bread ala crostini; a really cool twist sa classic Marikina dish!

For the drinks, nag-order kami ng Hot Cafe Latte, and for the cold drinks, we got the Matcha Frappe and Strawberry Milkshake.

Kung may furbabies kayo, pwedeng-pwede sila sa pet-friendly outdoor area nila. Hindi rin kayo ma-i-stress maghanap ng paradahan dahil may free parking lot sila.

Kung naghahanap kayo ng tahimik at maluwag na tambayan, you have to check out Cafe Nerissa!

Perfect siya kung gusto niyo lang mag-catch up ng friends, mag-work (dahil may free Wi-Fi), o mag-chill kasama ang furbabies niyo dahil pet-friendly yung space. Malaking bonus din na hindi kayo mamomroblema sa parking!

Nag-share kami ng Pulled Pork Nachos, Asian Ragu Pasta, at Classic French Toast. Pero ang pinaka-paborito ko rito ay yung Grilled Cheese with Tomato Jam—super solid nung sweet, tangy, and savory combo!

For the Drinks we ordered Classic Latte and Strawberry Basil Soda (must-try!). Pero huwag na huwag niyong i-skip yung Black Sesame Frappe nila, kakaiba din ang lasa!

Still rolling out our Merienda list for this week! At kung naghahanap din kayo ng venue for your next big family reunion, birthday, or barkada get-together na budget-friendly, you need to check out Antonio J Restaurant in Marikina Heights.

They serve a really good mix of Filipino comfort food and international soul food. Swipe through the photos to see some of their Merienda staples for your afternoon food trip! Aside from snacks, they are actually famous for their massive, shareable platters for lunch and dinner, so literal na walang uuwing gutom.
