Now, we’re passing that knowledge on.

"𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨, 𝙄 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙤𝙛 𝘿𝙪𝙧𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙢𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮.

Like our ancestors who journeyed together across the seas, the people aboard a balangay were not all the same. They came from different families, carried different skills, and possessed different strengths. Yet they thrived because they shared a common destination. They rowed as one despite their differences.

In the same way, Durungawan is a balangay of artists, dreamers, leaders, volunteers, managers, technicians, and cultural workers. We come from different backgrounds and experiences, but we move forward together because we share a common purpose. We do not all hold the same paddle, but we row in the same direction.

And like our ancestors, we recognize that we cannot always control the winds and currents. Sometimes, we must trust the journey, trust one another, and follow the path that life, nature, and purpose set before us."
