P8 Billion pondo para sa P200K lifeline nang lahat na barangay sa Pilipinas, Aprobado na!

Aprobado na at kinumpirma ni Executive Secretary Ralph Recto ang pagsisimula ng roll out ng P200,000 lifeline subsidy para sa 42,000 barangays sa buong Pilipinas bilang tugon sa kinakaharap na krisis.

Ayon kay Recto, nasimulan na ang roll out sa first batch recipients ng “Bawat Barangay Makikinabang” grant na nasa 5,000 barangays na.

Kasama dito ang mga barangays sa Pilar, Bataan na personal na dinaluhan ni President Marcos

Sa P200,000 fund, P100,000 dito ay para sa mga capital outlay projects gaya ng street lights, patrol vehicles at CCTVs para i-promote ang safety, or power generators para sa supply electricity sa health centers at evacuation centers.

Habang ang P 100,000, ay para naman sa “finisher program” o educational assistance sa mga anak ng OFWs o Drivers

During the hearing of the Senate Committee on Local Government yesterday, December 16, 2025, Sen. Rodante D. Marcoleta voiced his support for a proposed pay hike and better benefits for barangay officials and workers, being that their current monthly honoraria are too low given the demands of their work.

Sen. Marcoleta backed this with his proposed measure, 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗡𝗼. 𝟲𝟱 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 "𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁."

This bill seeks to establish a Barangay Affairs and Development Commission, a government agency that will focus on the development and welfare of barangays.

A Barangay Development Fund is also proposed to be established, which will be utilized exclusively for the development projects and its programs, including subsidies to poor barangays for the honoraria of its officials and employees. This will ensure that barangays have the financial resources to implement their local development initiatives and pay reasonable honoraria for their officials and employees.
