𝗘𝗗𝗦𝗔 𝟰𝟬 | 𝗦𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘁, 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁

Sa ika-40 taon ng paggunita sa People Power Revolution, hindi sapat na alalahanin lamang ang kasaysayan — kailangan natin itong buhayin sa kasalukuyan.

Ang EDSA ay hindi lang kwento ng nakaraan. Isa itong patunay na kapag ang mamamayan ay nagkaisa laban sa pang-aabuso at katiwalian, kayang baguhin ang direksyon ng bansa. Pinakita nito na ang kapangyarihan ay hindi dapat manatili sa iilan, kundi nagmumula sa sama-samang pagkilos ng taumbayan.

Apatnapung taon ang lumipas, ngunit nananatiling hamon ang pagtatanggol sa demokrasya. Sa gitna ng patuloy na isyu ng utang, korapsyon, at paghahari ng mga dinastiya sa pulitika, malinaw na ang laban para sa katarungan ay hindi pa tapos.

Bilang isang youth-led organization, naninindigan ang KABNAR na ang diwa ng EDSA ay nasa patuloy na pag-oorganisa, pagmulat, at pakikilahok ng kabataan. Hindi ito selebrasyon lamang — ito ay panawagan.

Ang People Power ay hindi isang araw sa kalendaryo.
Ito ay responsibilidad.
Ito ay pagkilos.
Ito ay paninindigan.

𝗢𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 14, 2026, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗡𝗔𝗥 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 & 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗼 𝗚𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 to discover their skills, strengthen the organization, and align roles for greater impact under the theme: “𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀.”

Through workshops like “𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘆 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀” and “𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗡𝗔𝗥”, members explored their individual and collective strengths and aligned themselves to roles where they can contribute most.

The activity also provided a space to identify the challenges faced by the youth, while the Community Assembly, supported by the 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮-𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗡 𝗜𝗻𝗰., became a key step in strengthening the KABNAR organization and uniting our youth for justice, dignity, and rights.

The activity provided a space for students to learn about KABNAR’s mission and vision, explore youth leadership, and share their perspectives on 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘁, 𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 in their community.
Together, we empower youth to engage, lead, and make a difference in shaping a just and peaceful society! ✊

𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗡𝗔𝗥 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻, 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 3, 2026!
We welcomed new members, shared our mission, vision, and upcoming activities, and opened a space for the youth to engage, learn, and take part in shaping a community that values justice, dignity, and rights.
Together, we empower the youth to lead, participate, and make a difference! ✊

𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗡𝗔𝗥 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗬𝗣𝗦) 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 – 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 at Lamesa Cafe, Heaven Road, Marawi City on January 28, 2026. Grassroots youth and community members shared their experiences, insights, and priorities on peace, security, and post-conflict recovery.
Inclusive youth participation is key — because real peace starts when our voices are heard. ✊

From December 15–28, 2025, the youth of Kabnar Youth Organization participated in an empowering capacity development on “No Person Left Behind: Gender-Equal, Human Rights-Based, and Inclusive Governance (GEHRIG)” under the Sama-sama Project at Mingkay Beach Resort, Initao.

Implemented by CECI in partnership with Concern, Inc. - Center for Emergency Aid, Rehabilitation and Dev't, and supported by Global Affairs Canada, we joined this training together with partners from Reclaiming Marawi Movement, Mataid Organization, and fellow youth from Ompongan Youth Organization to strengthen our understanding of gender equality, human rights, and inclusive governance.

We are deeply thankful to the organizers and those who invited us to this activity: Sir Ramadan O. Muntor, Area Coordinator of CONCERN Northern Mindanao, Ma’am Nina, Community Facilitator in Marawi City, and Sir MJ, Community Facilitator in Cagayan.

Special thanks to our facilitators: Ma’am Jona, GEHR Specialist, Ma’am Marianne Sadicon, IG Specialist, Ma’am Norika Ishikawa, Program Manager, and Sir Nery Ronatay, Regional Team Leader – Asia, for guiding us throughout the training.

We also extend our gratitude to the panel members of the intergenerational discussion on women’s leadership in Marawi: Ma’am Bai Norhata Alonto, Ma’am Khuzaima Samporna Maranda, and Ma’am Yasmerah Moner, for sharing their invaluable insights and experiences.

This training empowered us as Kabnar youth to lead with justice, dignity, and inclusion, ensuring that no person is left behind, and equipping us to actively engage in governance and build inclusive communities where every voice counts.

Noong December 10, 2025, kasabay ng paggunita ng International Human Rights Day, inilunsad ang KABNAR—Kabataan para sa Hustisya, Dignidad, at Karapatan. Hindi lang ito simpleng aktibidad, kundi isang panawagan sa pagkilos ng kabataang handang manguna, magsalita, at kumilos. Sa temang “LIGHTS FOR RIGHTS: Karapatan, Hustisya at Dignidad—Tanglaw para sa Sangkatauhan,” pinatunayan ng kabataan na sila ay may kakayahang manguna, aktibo, at handang maging liwanag para sa karapatan at hustisya ng lahat.
