The briefing serves as a vital preparation for volunteers who will help facilitate one of the country's largest youth-led international gatherings, equipping participants with the knowledge, responsibilities, and coordination needed to ensure the successful implementation of the 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Discussions focus on volunteer roles, event operations, participant engagement, logistical coordination, and the values of professionalism, teamwork, and service expected throughout the summit.

This year's 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞 "𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬," bringing together young leaders from across Southeast Asia to exchange ideas, strengthen regional cooperation, and develop innovative solutions to today's digital challenges. The summit provides a platform for meaningful dialogue on digital governance, innovation, cybersecurity, youth participation, and inclusive technological development, empowering the next generation of leaders to shape a safer and more connected ASEAN.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 – 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐬 proudly represented the organization during 𝐀𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐌 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐝 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, a three-day capacity-building program hosted by the National Youth Commission (NYC) from July 15 to 17, 2026. The program brought together youth leaders and youth organizations from across the country to strengthen their knowledge and skills in disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM), climate resilience, volunteerism, leadership, and community-based disaster preparedness.

Throughout the training, participants engaged in lectures, workshops, simulations, and collaborative discussions designed to enhance their capacity as youth leaders and community volunteers. The program also provided an opportunity to exchange best practices, build partnerships with fellow youth organizations, and deepen participants' commitment to public service, active citizenship, and nation-building.

As the representative of Youth Service Philippines – Iloilo Chapter, Johnric Vargas reaffirmed the organization's commitment to empowering young people through leadership, volunteerism, disaster preparedness, and community resilience. The knowledge and experiences gained from AGRIDAM Bacolod 2026 will strengthen the chapter's future initiatives and inspire more young people in Iloilo to become proactive leaders who are prepared to serve their communities before, during, and after disasters.

Youth Service Philippines extends its sincere appreciation to the National Youth Commission, the organizers, facilitators, and partner agencies for successfully conducting AGRIDAM Bacolod 2026. Youth Service Philippines proudly recognizes the remarkable achievement of our member,𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐌. 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠, for successfully completing the 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 (𝐀𝐏𝐍) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the second batch of the flagship peacebuilding initiative of KRIS for Peace and Innovation in Peacebuilding International held in Metro Manila.

The 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 (𝐀𝐏𝐍) brings together promising youth leaders and peace advocates from diverse communities to strengthen their capacity in advancing sustainable peace. Through an intensive learning program, participants explored the seven thematic pillars of peace technology, business, diplomacy, culture and the arts, climate, community, and gender. While engaging with distinguished national and international experts in the field of peacebuilding.

As part of the program's culminating activities, Raihana presented her capstone project, "𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐊𝐨 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐲𝐚,"an initiative centered on promoting Islamic education as a pathway to sustainable peace and development in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Her accomplishment reflects the values of servant leadership, meaningful youth engagement, and an unwavering commitment to peacebuilding. Youth Service Philippines extends its heartfelt congratulations to Raihana M. Pacasirang and celebrates this significant milestone. May this achievement inspire more young leaders to champion peace, foster dialogue, and create lasting positive change within their communities.

Through the collective efforts of volunteers, student leaders, sponsors, and community partners, ho, hot meals, relief assistance, and hope were delivered to those facing difficult circumstances. More than providing aid, this initiative served as a reminder that compassion, unity, and service can bring comfort and strength to communities during challenging times.

Through our collective efforts, we were able to deliver hope, relief, and comfort to our fellow Filipinos during this difficult time.

With grateful hearts, we share the progress of our Sarangani Earthquake Relief Operation:

📦 Relief Goods Distribution
500 relief packs – Barangay Calabanit, Municipality of Glan
100 relief packs – Barangay Tinoto, Municipality of Maasim
400 relief packs – Municipality of Alabel
2,000 packs of noodles and 6,000 bottles of water – Purok B**b, Barangay Pangyan, Glan, Sarangani

Our relief efforts continue as we work to reach more families and communities in need. Distribution operations remain ongoing, ensuring that assistance reaches those who are still recovering from the effects of the earthquake.

300 hot meals – Barangay Calabanit, Glan
100 hot meals – Barangay Ladol, Alabel
200 hot meals – Barangay Glan Padidu, Glan

This mission became possible because of the unwavering support of our donors, partners, and volunteers who answered the call to serve. Every relief pack prepared, every bottle of water distributed, and every hot meal shared is a reminder that compassion knows no boundaries.
