The guild would like to extend its warm congratulations to one of its members Ammar Olomodin, for being crowned as Mr. JIECEP NMS 2025 (Junior Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines - North Mindanao Summit), the pageant was held at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), Cagayan de Oro City, on November 27, 2025.

Shienna L. Mondalo, the vice president of the Guild of Advocates for Humanity's Optimal Mending (GAHOM) got the opportunity to be part of Division of Student Affairs' (DSA) engagement on University Student's Opportunity Ready (USOR). This event is within the collaborative effort of various organizations such as the Mindanao Varsitarian (MV), MSU-Main SSG, etc.

In her presentation entitled: Different Roots, One MSU: Understanding Across Cultures and Applying Holistic Inclusivity in Campus, Shienna focused on two themes: inclusivity and cultural diversityโ€”which highlighted the differences of both non-Muslim and Muslim communities, and ways on how said differences can be bridged by recognizing underlying similarities and efforts that can be done towards each other to achieve, not just surface-level inclusivity but, holistic inclusivity that will manifest peaceful coexistence at the end.

Additionally, Ms. Mondalo went beyond religion and cultures by addressing another sector: the LGBTQIA+ community. This part of the discussion aimed to inform the students the importance of accepting, respecting, and valuing the core of people regardless of their religion, culture, socioeconomic class, identity and self-expression, etc.

The guild is proud of it's members continuing to promote values that needs upholding for human rights to be well protected and well nourished, GAHOM is power, Youth is Power!

The guild once again brought a new light into different communities!!

August 29, 2025, at UDFI Conference Hall, Cotabato City, is where another discourse engagement was held. The ๐˜๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜จ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜—๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ฆ ๐˜‰๐˜ถ๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜Œ๐˜น๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜จ๐˜ฆ was within the efforts and initiative of Mindanao People's Peace Movement (MPPM), in partnership with Mensen Met en Missie (MM) from the Netherlands, in this event, multiple peace builders of the previous and the recent uprising generations were invited to become part of the Intergenerational discourse. Representatives from the Guild of Advocates for Humanity's Optimal Mending (GAHOM) were also present and have actively participated, Julieann Ofonda as a participant, and Wissam S. Datumulok as a Peace Building Work Sharer.

In Wissam's sharing, he gave clarification on the realities of youth advocates who are balancing both their studies and advocacy engagements, he also have shared an experience where his expertise and his affiliation with his academic program had once contributed into the well-being of a community. Julie then expressed her utmost gratitude for the previous generation of peace builders for being the pioneers of the very platform that the young advocates are utilizing.

Organizations worthy of appreciation for their involvement in this event are RECPASSI, LAFCCOD, LAHRA, TRIPOD, MTWRC, and KAAGAPAY OFW, for facilitating the invitations. The event concluded with the hope that the new generation of peace builders could continue what the previous one had started, and that they could expand the niche of what peace building could actually be by bringing in innovative ideas.

Along with passion and dedication towards empowering different individuals, GAHOM has progressively participated in the Seminar on Information and Content Management held on August 23-24, 2025, at UDFI Seminar House, Cotabato City. This initiative is within the efforts of the MPPM (Mindanao People's Peace Movement).

The 2 day seminar and workshop was filled with productive lectures and discussions from different speakers and sharer, and among them was Ms. Nur-Saleha Dadayan, a professor of the Communication and Media Studies Department, CSSH, MSU-Marawi, who provided informational lectures in the context of media and ways to identify negative messaging. Wissam S. Datumulok, the president of GAHOM was also invited as a sharer on peace building work in which he has told his personal experiences and the lessons he have learned along the way, as well as the struggles he encountered.

Within the active participation of every participant present, the event has successfully concluded with emerging resolutions on ways forward for the future of a safer and a more productive space in media.
