During the sacred month of Ramadan, acts of generosity, compassion, and community become even more meaningful. In the spirit of sharing and service, the students of the Department of SociologyโAnthropology organized an Iftar Drive to provide meals for those breaking their fast and to strengthen the sense of solidarity within our community.
With hearts full of gratitude, the students of the Department of SociologyโAnthropology sincerely thank everyone who supported and contributed to our Iftar Drive. Through your generosity, we successfully raised a total of โฑ๐๐,๐๐๐, allowing us to extend meaningful assistance and share meals with members of the community during the sacred month of Ramadan.
The Iftar gathering was held first at ๐๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ก (๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ) where 30 meals, 1kg of rice, and groceries were provided. It was then held with the ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ at the ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐, where 120 meals were distributed. More than simply providing food for those breaking their fast, this initiative became a moment of connection, empathy, and solidarity. As students of Sociology, we recognize that acts like these strengthen social bonds and cultivate intercultural understanding within our diverse community.
This simple act of sharing reminds us that compassion is a powerful social forceโone that transcends differences and brings people together in the spirit of care, respect, and collective responsibility.
The Prophet (SAW) said to those feeding the fasting:
May this shared experience continue to inspire kindness, unity, and a deeper commitment to community engagement. Thank you for helping make this initiative a meaningful and heartwarming success.
