๐ŸŒŸ District Rotaract Representative Visit: Strengthening Bonds and Inspiring Service! ๐ŸŒŸ

We are excited to share that the Rotaract Club of Marawi City and the Rotaract Club of MSU-CHS recently had the honor of hosting the โ€œDistrict Rotaract Representative Visitโ€ at the charming Fahm Cafe on Cabingan Road in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur. This event provided an incredible opportunity for our clubs to come together, learn from one another, and strengthen our commitment to service.

We were privileged to welcome esteemed guests, including District Learning Facilitator Doi Flordeliz, District Chief of Staff Ernest Nid Abueme, District Rotaract Chair Rean Nuenay, and our inspiring District Rotaract Representative Jomari L. Tanghal. Their presence enriched our event and offered valuable insights that will guide us as we work towards our common goals.

The visit served as a foundational orientation for both clubs, where we explored the core values of Rotaract, discussed future initiatives, and identified collaborative projects that will empower us to make a meaningful impact in our community. It was uplifting to see our dedicated officers and enthusiastic members unite with a shared vision and passion for service.

๐ŸŒ World Polio Day 2024 ๐ŸŒ

Today, we stand united with Rotary International and global health partners in the fight to end polio! ๐Ÿ’ชโœจ As members of the Rotaract Club, we believe in the power of collective action to make a difference in the world.

What is Polio?
Polio, or poliomyelitis, is a highly infectious viral disease that primarily affects young children. The virus spreads from person to person, often through contaminated water or food, and can invade the nervous system, potentially causing paralysis. While polio has no cure, it can be prevented with safe and effective vaccines.

Raising Awareness:
Efforts to fight polio began in earnest in 1988, when the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) was launched by Rotary International, the World Health Organization (WHO), and other partners. Since then, the number of polio cases worldwide has been reduced by 99%, and polio is now endemic in only a few countries.
With continued global efforts and vaccination campaigns, we are closer than ever to making polio a thing of the past. Letโ€™s keep spreading the word and supporting efforts to !
