Bismillah!

There is currently a circulating message claiming that barangay chairpersons in Marawi City held a meeting and agreed on an operation requiring all men to be inside their homes by 8:00 PM, allegedly due to recent security concerns.

This is not something we should take lightly.

Let us remember that the people of Marawi are still carrying the trauma of the Marawi siege. News like this—whether verified or not—can easily cause fear, panic, and anxiety within the community.

If this information is true, we respectfully call on the LGU to issue an official and clear announcement to properly guide the public.

If this is not true, then it is equally important for the LGU to immediately address and clarify the matter to ease the concerns of the people.

In times like this, accurate information and responsible communication are crucial. The peace of mind of our fellow Maranaos should always be a priority.
