SEMINAR WORKSHOP
“NURTURING THE CULTURE OF PEACE IN TODAY’S GENERATION”
May 31, 2023

Yesterday, KaLAKElintad conducted a seminar workshop with the theme “Nurturing the Culture of Peace in Today's Generation” which was attended by 35 Supreme Students Government (SSG) Officers of Lake Lanao College Incorporated held at LLCI Building, Basak Malutlut, Marawi City.

The said workshop is in line with the previous project of KaLAKElintad under the BYLP-LEADCOM, a fellowship program of the Ayala Foundation Inc. in partnership with Bangsamoro Youth Commission, the Australian Embassy of the Philippines and Eisenhower Association in the Philippines that started in the year 2021.

This seminar workshop aimed at strengthening youth leadership skills, developing a more peaceful culture and enhancing meaningful youth participation to bring positive change.

RANON KO KALUMBAYAN: PROJECT IFTAR AND RAMADHAN TREAT
April 13, 2023
Assalamulaykum! Alhamdulillah with the help and support of our donors and volunteers, Kalakelintad and Unypad sa Ranao Marawi City Chapter was able to deliver a grocery package and cash worth 3,300.00 PhP to our dear morits in MARKAZ AL YATEEMAT LITAHFIEDHIL QUR- ANIL KAREEM
WA LITAALEYMIL LUGATIL ARABIYAH (Siap Ko Wata Ilo) located at Saguiaran Lanao del Sur.

Currently, there are more than 48 orphans in this toril headed by Ustadh Saiben Aponto along with 6 ustadhzas who are voluntarily teaching in the said toril.

Those children came from different municipalities in Lanao del Sur.

As they requested, we didn't take any pictures of them, particularly the children (morits) for their privacy concerns.

Furthermore, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous individual donors and volunteers who exerted efforts to fulfill this cause. May Allah bless you and accept your duas and ibadas Ameen.

RANON KO KALUMBAYAN: PROJECT IFTAR AND RAMADHAN TREAT DONATION DRIVE

The United Youth for Peace and Development - Marawi City Chapter and KaLAKELimtad, once again, will be joined force together for "Ramadhan Iftar Program- 2023"

Last year, we were able to catered and provide a free iftar to one of the torils in Marawi City, where nearly 100 orphaned children and morits benefitted with the iftar program and recieved essential grocery package.

Now, we are once again knocking with your kindness and greatness. Any form of financial assistance and in-kind donation will be highly appreciated. This purpose-driven program will aim to cater selected torils of Saguiaran, Marawi, and Marantao.

During the activity, the fellows had an opportunity to exhibit their projects, share their implementation narratives and encourage various stakeholders to take part in their advocacy.

The program, which started in 2021, aims to empower the youth leaders in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to provide suitable and sustainable solutions to the pressing needs of their communities.

Throughout the implementation of the program, the fellows underwent series of workshops designed to develop their leadership skills and guide them through the process of planning, proposing, implementing, and managing community projects that align with local government initiatives.

BYLP-LeadCom is a joint initiative of Ayala Foundation Inc., BYC, the Australian Embassy, and Eisenhower Fellowship.

What a productive week it has been. Today as we culminate this week, we are happy to organize the coalition of 27 independent local civil society organizations in the Bangsamoro.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 will be launched soon during the last quarter of 2022.

This is one of the efforts of the Enhancing Political Dialogue for Inclusive Transition and Institution in the Bangsamoro Project (EnPolD-Bangsamoro) of the Institute for Autonomy and Governance. We are thankful to the Australian Government for supporting this program.

LOOK: BYLP fellows receiving each additional ₱20K project grant from BYC

Thirty fellows of the Bangsamoro Young Leaders Program - Leadership Communities 2 (BYLP-LeadCom 2) each received an additional ₱20,000 project grant from the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC).

Awarded during the BYLP Projector Showcase on Tuesday, Oct. 18 in Cotabato City, the grant aims to upscale the projects of the fellows in their respective communities.

The awarding ceremony served as the culminating activity of the BYLP-LeadCom 2, a joint year-long fellowship program of the Ayala Foundation Inc. and BYC.

The highlight of the PPF journey of Arafat, was the friendship that he was able to build with his fellow.

The KaLAKELintad project is a peace initiative started by PPF Batch 2 Alums Asliah, Nisreen, Arafat, and Mariam aimed with the purpose to educate, raise awareness, and offer opportunities to the out-of-school youth in Marantao, Lanao del Sur.
