โEvery ending is just a new beginning, and every journey leaves a mark that lasts forever.โ
As I bid farewell, I look back on my journey in BNSHI with a heart full of gratitude and pride. This school has been more than just a place of learningโit has been a home that shaped me into who I am today, a place where I found not only knowledge, but also purpose, passion, and lifelong memories.
Serving as the YES-O President of our school has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Through this role, I learned that leadership is not about titles, but about service, commitment, and the courage to stand for what is rightโespecially for our environment.
The journey was never easy. There were challenges, sacrifices, sleepless days, and moments of doubt, but BNSHI became the place where I discovered my strength, my voice, and my purpose. Every project, every initiative, and every small step we took reminded me that change does not happen overnightโbut it begins with people who are willing to care, to act, and to lead.
To BANSAY HAPSAY AND PUNO UG GRASYA, thank you you for trusting me, for giving me the opportunity to lead, and for allowing me to be part of something bigger than myself. You created a space where students can grow into leaders, dreamers, and advocates for.
To our advisers, Maโam Janice and Maโam Pia, thank you for being our guiding lights throughout this journey. Your patience, encouragement, and constant support gave us the strength and confidence to lead. You were always there to guide us, correct us, and inspire us to do better. Because of you, we learned not only how to lead, but also how to serve with humility, passion, and purpose. We are deeply grateful for everything you have done for us.
To Asha and Marian my Grade 8 babiesโthank you for always being my one call away. No matter the time or situation, I knew I could count on you. Your willingness to help, your energy, and your sincerity made even the most challenging tasks lighter. You reminded me that leadership is not just about leading, but also about having people you can trust by your side.
To April and Anikaโthank you for your constant support, dedication, and positivity. You handled your responsibilities with grace and commitment, and your presence brought encouragement to the whole team. Your efforts, both seen and unseen, contributed so much to our success, and I am truly proud of the growth and strength you both showed throughout this journey.
To Jaychael and Mike โthank you for stepping up and accepting the responsibility of your roles with courage and determination. Taking on a position is never easy, especially when it comes with unexpected challenges, but you both handled it with strength and commitment. You chose to lead, to continue what was started, and to serve with sincerity despite the pressure. That kind of bravery and willingness to take responsibility is truly admirable. You proved that leadership is about rising when you are needed, staying grounded, and doing your best for the team. I am proud of both of you and truly grateful for the dedication you showed.
To my Grade 11, Vincent and Mcโthank you for generously giving your time and effort, especially your afternoons, just to support our activities. I know it was not easy considering your schedule, yet you still chose to show up and help in every way you could. Your sacrifice, commitment, and reliability did not go unnoticed. You showed what it truly means to be responsible and dedicated, and I am sincerely thankful for both of you.
To my Grade 12 peepsโAsh, Jea, Nerissa, Cristel, Paula, and Louiseโthank you for your guidance, support, and the memories we shared. Your presence made this journey more meaningful and enjoyable. Each of you brought something special to the team, and your encouragement helped me grow not only as a leader but also as a person. I will always treasure the bond and experiences we created together.
To Klint and Cyra, our Ad-hoc membersโthank you for stepping in whenever you were needed and for offering your time and effort without hesitation. Your flexibility, willingness to help, and quiet dedication played an important role in making our activities successful. Even without a fixed position, you chose to serve and support the team wholeheartedly. That kind of initiative and selflessness truly reflects the spirit of leadership. I am grateful for both of you and proud of the contributions you made to our journey.
To Althea, my secretaryโat first, I will admit that I felt hesitant because you were still young, but you proved me wrong in the best way possible. You showed that age does not define leadership and that dedication and willingness matter more. Thank you for always saying yes, for helping with layouts, preparing minutes, and taking on responsibilities without hesitation. Your consistency, initiative, and eagerness to learn truly stood out. You exceeded expectations, and I am incredibly proud of you.
To my Vice President and the next YES-O President of BNSHI, Racelโthank you for being my second hand, my partner in every responsibility, and someone I could always rely on. Through every challenge and success, you stood beside me with strength and determination. Your leadership, passion, and dedication inspire me, and I have no doubt that you will continue to lead with excellence and purpose.
As I step away from this role, I do so with a grateful and fulfilled heart. This may be the end of my term, but it is not the end of my journey.
This is Lorenz Ramos, BNSHI YES-O President, signing off from this chapter but remaining a lifelong advocate for the earth we all call home.
