A solemn celebration of the Misa de Gallo (1/9) was held on December 16, 2025, as the faithful gathered in prayer and thanksgiving, presided over by Rev. Fr. Richard John V. Deloso, SSJV.

Rooted in the spirit of joyful anticipation and devotion that marks the Misa de Gallo, the celebration was followed by a youth dance in celebration of the National Local Youth Day 2025.

Through this offering, the youth expressed their faith, gratitude, and active participation in the life and mission of the Church, reminding the community of their vital role in worship, service, and evangelization.

Before the Holy Mass, Rev. Fr. Richard John Deloso, SSJV blessed the Parish Advent Wreath and lit the first Advent Candle during the 8:00 AM Mass. Today marks the beginning of the Church’s new liturgical year, the First Sunday of Advent. May the Season of Advent bring us grace and blessings as we await the Birth of Jesus.

The first candle, which is purple, symbolizes hope. It is sometimes called the “Prophecy Candle” in remembrance of the prophets, especially Isaiah, who foretold the birth of Christ. It represents the expectation felt in anticipation of the coming Messiah.

| ARCHDIOCESAN VOCATION JAMBOREE 2025 |

Held at Don Gregorio Pelaez Sports Complex, Cagayan de Oro City, the Jamboree gathered young hearts from November 28–29 to listen, discern, and reflect on God’s call. It opened with a Holy Mass at the St. Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral.

With the theme “Journeying Together, Called in Communion, Sent in Mission,” the San Antonio de Padua Parish – Manticao joined with five youth participants. It beautifully concluded with a sending Mass presided by the Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro, Most Rev. Jose A. Cabantan, DD, inspiring everyone to carry their mission forward.

The experience reminded them that a vocation is God’s personal call—an invitation to discover their purpose and step into mission with courage and faith.

Together, they journeyed.
Together, they were called.
Together, they were sent.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || Manticao Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Richard John Deloso, SSJV leads a mass during the Solemnity of our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, on Sunday, November 23.

The celebration is rooted in the Incarnation, highlighting that Jesus is both fully God and fully man. It calls Christians to acknowledge Christ's kingship in every aspect of their lives: in their minds, wills, hearts, and bodies. The feast serves as a reminder to live out one's faith publicly and to recognize Christ's authority over all creation.

Today's Mass was a significant occasion for the PWD community because Jesus healed those who had disabilities.They were warmly received and blessed by the priest, symbolizing that they have a special place in the Church. After the Mass, snacks were provided as a humble gesture of love and hospitality from the parish.

Almighty ever-living God, whose will is to restore all things in your beloved Son, the King of the universe, grant, we pray, that the whole creation, set free from slavery, may render your majesty service and ceaselessly proclaim your praise. We are glad to introduce the newly elected Parish Youth Coordinating Council (PYCC) Officers of San Antonio de Padua Parish – Manticao for the 2025–2030 term. They are driven by the spirit of service and faith.

We pledge to serve with love, humility, and dedication, inspired by God's call to be shepherds to His sheep. Our goal as a single body in Christ is to strengthen our faith, encourage personal development, and encourage engaged community service. 💙

True leadership begins with service — and we, the youth, are ready to lead with faith.
