The celebration didn’t end with the morning festivities. SK Poblacion carried the energy into the night with the grand staging of Macho Queen 2025 at the Manjuyod Gymnasium.

The evening was filled with glamour, wit, and confidence as contestants graced the stage with stunning attire, captivating performances, and sharp-witted answers that kept the audience entertained. It was a night that celebrated self-expression, inclusivity, and the vibrant spirit of the youth, closing this year’s Linggo ng Kabataan on a high note! 🤍💙

In a lively display of camaraderie, talent, and community spirit, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Poblacion successfully kicked off its Linggo ng Kabataan celebration last August 10, 2025, at the Manjuyod Gymnasium.

The morning event brought together young people from all walks of life to enjoy a day packed with fun-filled games, exciting challenges, and entertaining performances. Laughter echoed through the venue as participants showcased their energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship in every activity.

This celebration reflected the unity, enthusiasm, and potential of the youth in action.

𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝, 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝: 𝐒𝐊 𝐏𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐊𝐊𝐊 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

Barangay Poblacion’s Sangguniang Kabataan successfully conducted its K*K Assembly on July 12, 2025, at the second floor of the Public Market.
The event included an Anti-Drug Awareness Talk led by representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), and a Reproductive and Sexual Health Awareness Talk by Ms. Rubyette Acabal from the Rural Health Unit (RHU).

The SK Council also presented the 2025 Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan (CBYDP) and other Accomplishment Reports during the assembly, highlighting upcoming programs and initiatives for the youth of the barangay.

As a gesture of appreciation, grocery packs were distributed to attendees, a small token for the big support shown by the youth.

But what truly made the event unforgettable? The energy, collaboration, and loud enthusiasm of Poblacion’s youth, proof that with the right platform, the youth will always show up ready to lead and learn🤍💙

In a strong move toward a cleaner and greener community, the SK Poblacion has launched an initiative to place trash bins along key streets around the barangay. This project is designed to make proper waste disposal more accessible and convenient for everyone. By strategically placing bins in public areas, the SK aims to reduce littering, promote discipline in waste management, and spark a collective sense of responsibility for keeping Poblacion clean.

Beyond just installing bins, this initiative is part of a bigger push to build a culture of cleanliness and environmental awareness in the community. It’s a call to action for every Poblacion resident to take part, because real change happens when everyone does their part.
