Strength and Sensitivity: Building Respectful and Inclusive Spaces

In celebration of Women’s Month, the Graduate Studies Department conducted a meaningful extension activity titled Strength and Sensitivity: Building Respectful and Inclusive Spaces on March 12 at 9:00 AM at the BJMP–SJDM Male Dormitory, highlighting the importance of respect, inclusivity, and human dignity in our communities.

Prof. Cloyd Arbolante, faculty member of the BS in Elementary Education program, emphasized the value of practicing inclusivity in daily interactions by fostering respect, understanding, and equal opportunities.

Meanwhile, Dr. Sherlyn F. Saspa, Director of the Language Institute, spoke about human equality and dignity, reminding participants that every individual deserves respect and fair treatment. She also highlighted faith in God as a guide in embracing others despite differences in personality, age, social status, or gender.

Through initiatives like this, the department continues to promote respect, compassion, and inclusive communities. 🌸

Hearts and Hope Seminar | BJMP-SJDM

In this season of love, the Graduate Studies Department, led by CEAS Dean Dr. Leo S. del Rosario, conducted the Hearts and Hope Seminar for the dedicated jail officers of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology-San Jose del Monte (BJMP-SJDM).

Centered on stress management and self-love, the seminar served as a meaningful reminder that before we can genuinely serve others, we must also take time to care for ourselves. Strength is not measured by endurance alone, but by the courage to pause, reflect, and renew.

May this shared space of learning continue to nurture resilience, compassion, and a deeper sense of purpose in every act of service.

Thank you, BJMP-SJDM, for your steadfast commitment to the community.
