Malacañang Declares 20 March 2026 a Regular Holiday in Observance of Eid’l Fitr

Malacañang today announced that Friday, 20 March 2026, has been declared a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Fitr.

The announcement was made as President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. joined by members of the Muslim community and leaders from across the country at the Grand Iftar in Malacañang, reaffirming the government’s respect for the traditions and contributions of Muslim Filipinos.

The declaration recognizes the significance of Eid’l Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a period devoted to prayer, reflection, and fasting.

The Palace extends its greetings to the Muslim community in the Philippines and around the world as they prepare to celebrate Eid’l Fitr with their families and communities.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) advises Muslims working in the government throughout the Philippines to adopt flexible working hours during the holy month of Ramadan, pursuant to the Policies on Flexible Work Arrangements (FWAs) in the Government under CSC Memorandum Circular No. 6, s. 2022, dated 6 June 2022.

This initiative ensures that Muslim government employees are supported in observing their religious duties while maintaining efficient and continuous public service.

PANTALAN National Executive Board Convenes 2026 1st Quarter Meeting in PPA PMO-Bohol

Tagbilaran City, Feb. 10–12, 2026 — The PANTALAN National Executive Board (NEB), led by National President Israel R. (B**g) Cambi, successfully convened its 1st Quarter Meeting at the Philippine Ports Authority–PMO Bohol.

A key highlight was the dialogue with PMO Bohol Local Chapter Officers and Port Manager Joselito O. Sinocruz, strengthening ties between workers and management.

President Cambi reaffirmed PANTALAN’s dedication to its members, upholding welfare, rights, and dignity while strengthening collaboration with management. The 1st Quarter NEB Meeting in Bohol set the tone for 2026 as a year of empowerment, solidarity, and proactive engagement for all port workers nationwide.
