A Call on Senator Bam Aquino:
Unite Our Country, Lead Us to 2028

MANILA, PHILIPPINES:

We, the volunteers and members of IM k Leni, the national movement forged in the hope of the 2022 "Pink" revolution, officially call upon Senator Bam Aquino to heed the clamor of the Filipino people for a unifying leader, and seek the presidency in the 2028 national elections.

In the 2025 midterm elections, we proved that the "Pink" spirit remains a formidable force. Through collective sweat and unwavering faith, we secured the return of Senator Bam Aquino and Senator Kiko Pangilinan to the Senate. Their victory was a resounding mandate for clean, competent, and compassionate leadership.

Why Bam Aquino? Why Now?

The political landscape is shifting. While traditional dynasties maneuver to stay in power and scramble to divide their loot, the Filipino people, especially the youth, angered by where our country has headed, are searching for a leader who offers more than a famous name and empty promises.

With our recent history marked by fierce color and geographic divisions, we see Bam as the most potential unifying force that may weld a broken, highly partisan nation. He represents the "modern center"—progressive enough to demand change, yet pragmatic enough to build the bridges necessary to achieve it.

Unlike other desperate presidentiables, Bam has consistently championed the youth, education, and MSMEs promotion- the basic keys to propel our country forward. His trabaho and edukasyon sponsored laws were not just slogans—they are lifelines for millions.

And as the architect of the most successful grassroots mobilization campaigns, he understands that the heart of democracy lies in the hands of the volunteers, not just in halls of power.

To our fellow volunteers, and every Filipino who believes that the call for Gobyernong Tapat is still possible: The movement is waking up. Let’s rise again as one, yet with dynamic parts.

We saw what we could do with a dream in 2022. We saw what we could do with a mission in 2025. Now, we must realize what we can achieve with a vision for 2028.

"Senator Bam, you have always told us that hope is a spark. In 2025, we fanned that spark into a flame. In May 2028, let us turn that flame into a sun that will light up the future of every young Filipino. We are ready, and so are the many others, we believe. Lead us in fixing our broken nation."

We call on the Filipino people, especially the youth. Let us make the next Philippine president the true People’s President.

THE LIGHT GROWS BRIGHTER: A Manifesto for 2028

We remember the spark. In 2022, we wore pink not just as a color, but as a promise. We were told it was a lost cause, yet we built the largest volunteer-led movement in our nation’s history.

We felt the victory. In 2025, that spark became a fire. We stood our ground, defended our principles, and sent Bam Aquino back to the Senate. We proved that truth can win, and that the "Pinklawan" spirit is not a memory—it is a mandate.

Now, we hear the call. The Philippines is at a crossroads. We see the same names and the same old games. But we also see a leader who has never blinked—a champion of the student, the worker, and the small entrepreneur.

WE ARE IM k LENI, AND WE CALL ON BAM AQUINO TO LEAD US IN 2028.

Because "good enough" is no longer enough.

Because our children deserve a leader who understands the future, not just the past.

Because we don’t just need a candidate; we need a President who believes in us.

To every volunteer who knocked on doors, every student who braved the rain, and every Filipino tired of the noise: The movement is back. This is not a restart; it is a step forward.

A CALL TO CONGRESS: PROTECT FILIPINOS FROM FUEL PRICE SHOCK

The escalating Middle East conflict is now hitting Filipino families where it hurts most—at the pump, on the table, and in their daily survival. Fuel prices continue to surge. Transport costs are sky high. Food prices, too, are rising. For millions of Filipinos, especially the youth, workers, and those below the poverty threshold, this is not a projection. This is the present crisis.

And every delay in action deepens the burden.
As a network of grassroots leaders, we call on the House of Representatives to move with urgency, empathy, and integrity—free from delay, free from drama, and above all, free from corruption.

WHAT MUST BE DONE, NOW

1. DIRECT FUEL AND TRANSPORT SUBSIDIES (TARGETED, TIME
BOUND)

Immediately deploy digital, corruption-resistant subsidies for public utility drivers, delivery workers, and low-income households. No middlemen. No leakages. Direct to beneficiaries.

2. AUTOMATIC FUEL TAX RELIEF MECHANISM

Trigger immediate suspension or reduction of fuel excise taxes once global oil prices breach critical levels. Clear rules. No discretion. No politics.

3. PROTECT FOOD PRICES AT SOURCE

Subsidize fuel for agricultural logistics and essential goods transport. Stabilize supply chains. Prevent runaway food inflation.

WHAT MUST FOLLOW—WITHOUT DELAY

1. FAST-TRACK RENEWABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT
Break dependence on imported fossil fuel. Accelerate solar, wind, and decentralized energy systems nationwide.

2. BUILD TRUE ENERGY SECURITY

Establish strategic fuel reserves and diversify energy sources to shield the country from global shocks.

NO MORE EXCUSES

A country cannot function if its people cannot afford to move, eat, or work. This is not the time for hearings without outcomes or policies without enforcement. This is the time for swift, direct, and corruption-proof action.

The Filipino people are already paying the price, just months after the obscene mega-corruption involving a lot, if not all, lawmakers. Congress should begin redeeming itself.

Guys, let’s not forget — there are 12 seats up for grabs in the Senate. Race to first 12 po ito. Whether we Kakampinks will vote or not, 12 senators will still be elected this May.

So the only way to stop any pro-Piattos candidate from getting a seat is to vote for 12 candidates who are NOT part of their lineup!

If you will only vote for Kiko, Bam, Heidi, and Luke, while dds supporters vote straight, there’s a real risk that 7 to 8 of their candidates could still win.

So let’s vote for 12 candidates. There are a lot of fresh faces out there, or at the very least, pick the lesser evil. We need to secure all 12 seats!

Right now, the goal isn’t just to vote wisely — it’s to vote strategically. Every vote counts, and every seat matters! 🫰🏻💕
