SDAO ADVISORY | DRESS CODE ADJUSTMENT 🌡️

Due to the rising heat index, the university implements a temporary adjustment to the dress code from April 20 to May 30, 2026.

Students may wear civilian attire as an alternative to the standard uniform, provided that it remains appropriate and presentable.

✔️ White Shirt
✔️ PE Uniform
✔️ Any Official NU Shirt
✔️ College Shirt
✔️ Proper undergarment attire

📌 Reminders:

MedTech and Pharmacy students must still wear their laboratory gowns during lab classes.
CTHM students are required to wear appropriate laboratory attire during lab sessions.

This adjustment aims to ensure the comfort and well-being of all students during the current heatwave.

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS — Focus Group Discussion (FGD)

The Marketing Office of NU Manila is currently inviting first-year students (NUbies) to participate in an upcoming Focus Group Discussion (FGD) as part of an academic initiative aimed at gathering valuable insights on the overall student experience.

We are seeking a total of ten (10) student participants, composed of five (5) male and five (5) female students, preferably from different academic programs to ensure a diversity of perspectives.

Qualifications for participation:
• Must be a first-year student (NUbie)
• Must be a non-scholar
• Must have no relatives employed at NU or SM
• Must be informed of and willing to comply with the University’s Data Privacy policies

All selected participants will receive tokens of participation.

IN PHOTOS | Basic Mountaineering Course 1

Last November 22, participants embarked on a meaningful and skill-building journey through our Basic Mountaineering Course 1, with the theme "Shining with Skills, Guided by Purpose." This training equipped them with essential outdoor knowledge and strengthened their confidence for future climbs.

They learned Knot Tying and Trail Reading, Tent Pitching and Camping Essentials, and Bandaging with Patient Lifts and Carries — core skills every mountaineer must master. Through hands-on learning, teamwork, and purpose-driven training, our participants took another step toward becoming safer and more responsible mountaineers.
