Every effort to defend the sanctity of life points to the day when death will be no more. Every abortion prevented and every heart changed by grace is a sign of that future when God will make all things new.

As pro-life Christians, we keep our eyes fixed on heaven. The promised victory shapes the battle we fight today.

When we weep, we remember the day when every tear will be wiped away. When we face the power of death, we remember the day when death will be swallowed up in victory.

Heaven is real, and the final triumph of life will come. โœจ

๐‘น๐’†๐’‡๐’๐’†๐’„๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’:
We have reason to rejoice for the many babies whose lives have been saved through the 40 Days for Life campaign. Along with them are the women and men who were spared from making a devastating decision and now have the opportunity to plan for their baby in a life-affirming and God-honoring way.

Whether directly or indirectly, your sacrificial service has helped bring about these testimonies of praise.

Some of you may have experienced trials during your commitment โ€” difficulties in relationships, finances, or health. You may also be physically and mentally exhausted, eagerly waiting for Day 40.

Consider these struggles in light of Godโ€™s greater plan.

As St. Paul reminds us, the sufferings of this present time cannot be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us.

This is our hope and our victory. Let us rejoice in the opportunity to share this hope with those God places on our path.

Not everyone will support this campaign. Those on peaceful vigil may even be met with hatred or hostility. As fallen human beings, our natural response may not always be Christ-like.

How do we respond rightly?

First, reflect on the holiness of God. Sin is serious before Him, yet God, in His mercy, did not leave us in our brokenness.

As Scripture says, God is rich in mercy and great in love. Even when we were dead in sin, He made us alive with Christ by grace.

Because we have received this mercy and hope, we are called to share that same love and hope with others, even with those who oppose or persecute us.

Ask the Holy Spirit to love through you, so that others may be drawn to the hope that is in Christ.

๐‘น๐’†๐’‡๐’๐’†๐’„๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’:
Since all things are for Godโ€™s glory, we are called to offer our whole lives to Him.

This is the opposite of the false idea that life can be sacrificed for convenience. Some are tempted to place career, education, relationships, or personal goals above the sacred gift of life, viewing abortion as a way to remove an obstacle.

But in light of Christโ€™s sacrifice for us and the mercy God has shown in our lives, our greatest response is worship.

Presenting our bodies as living sacrifices is our reasonable service. We were created to worship God alone.

The enemy distorts the truth about worship, sacrifice, and the value of children.

When we give ourselves to protect both the mother and her child, we are offering true worship to God.

May our example help others turn away from false idols and choose life, freedom, and the mercy of God.

๐‘น๐’†๐’‡๐’๐’†๐’„๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’:

In our service of the Gospel of Life, we may sometimes feel like Peter โ€” exhausted after working hard and seeing little fruit from our efforts.

Peter knew the night was the best time to fish, and yet they had caught nothing. Humanly speaking, Jesusโ€™ command to fish by day seemed unreasonable.

We too may hesitate when God asks us to carry a difficult cross, thinking the task is too heavy or the sacrifice too great.

But Peterโ€™s trust in Jesus changed everything.

Instead of complaint, Peter chose obedience.

In our battle against the culture of death, we cannot rely only on human strength. The work for life will bear fruit not because of our effort alone, but because of our trust in Jesus who calls us to โ€œput out into deep water.โ€

When we act in faith, God can bring abundance beyond what we can see.

Paul echoes Davidโ€™s words in Psalm 32. Despite Davidโ€™s grave sins, he learned that Godโ€™s mercy is greater than sin. Instead of living in guilt, David responded with praise and gratitude for the freedom and new life God gave him.

When our relationship with God is restored, guilt should no longer control our hearts. This is true for every sin, including abortion.

Christโ€™s work on the cross is sufficient. Do not let self-hatred or guilt continue to burden you. Rejoice in Godโ€™s mercy, accept His forgiveness, and forgive yourself as a testimony of His grace.

โ€œIn the beginningโ€ โ€” there was God. Always.

Before all time, God existed.

The God revealed in Scripture is different from other ideas of gods.
He is not a God of loneliness or death.

He is a God of life โ€”
a God of relationship and unity.

Within the one God are three divine Persons who live, love, and work together.
This is the mystery of the Trinity.

The Trinity means divine life.
Three living Persons โ€” Father, Son, and Holy Spirit โ€” who love and serve one another.

The Word was always with the Father.

The Word is the Son of God, revealed in history as Jesus Christ.

The Father and the Son live, love, and work in perfect communion.

Together, they created all things.

The Father creates all human life through the Son.

This includes every life โ€”
the child in the womb,
the newborn in a fatherโ€™s arms,
the child in pain in a hospital bed,
the teenager running in youth,
and the elderly person nearing death.

All were created by God from the very beginning.
There are no exceptions.

Divine life is the source of human life.

๐‘น๐’†๐’‡๐’๐’†๐’„๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’:
How often do we ignore the phrase, โ€œstop and smell the roses,โ€ and rush instead to what seems urgent?

Do we forget that God places great value on His sacred creation?

The Psalmist speaks of Godโ€™s handiwork โ€” the heavens, the work of His fingers โ€” and then points to Godโ€™s masterpiece: human life.

God is mindful of us.
The Creator of the heavens is not distracted.

God pays attention to His crowning glory โ€” a creation that cannot be replaced or surpassed in beauty.

There are no words sufficient to describe Godโ€™s love, compassion, and desire to be in communion with us.

Perhaps the closest image we can imagine is a mother gazing at her newborn child.

God cares for life.
As His followers, we are called to pause, reflect on the life He has created, and protect it.
