The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) faces yet another critical setback. For the second time, the National Polytechnic University (NPU) Bill—our landmark initiative for equitable, accessible, and quality public higher education, has been vetoed.
This is more than a legislative delay; it’s a blow to the future of countless students, faculty, and communities that rely on PUP's education and service. Without institutional support and national recognition, the sustainability of many of our campuses—and the dreams they carry—hangs in the balance.
But we are not giving up.
Now, more than ever, we must unite. We call on all PUP stakeholders and supporters of public education to stand with us. Sign and share the petition urging the government to reconsider the NPU Bill and uphold the promise of inclusive, transformative, and quality education for all.
