Walking together in Communion, Participation, and Mission. 🙏

Grateful to witness the vibrant faith and commitment of the organized laity of the Diocese of Romblon as they gathered for the RDCL Diocesan Assembly 2026. Through listening, discernment, accompaniment, and transformation, delegates renewed their call to be missionary disciples bringing Christ into families, communities, workplaces, and society.

May the newly elected RDCL Governing Council and all the lay faithful continue to be instruments of hope, stewards of creation, and courageous witnesses of the Gospel as we journey together in building a truly Synodal Church.

The 12th Plenary Assembly of the Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences (FABC) will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, from July 20–26, bringing together more than 120 participants, including bishops from across Asia, representatives of bishops' conferences, Vatican officials, secretaries of FABC offices, theologians, and pastoral experts to discern the future mission of the Church in Asia.

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,

The Sangguniang Laiko ng Pilipinas joins in prayer all our brothers and sisters affected by the recent earthquake in Mindanao. In this time of fear, loss, and uncertainty, we want them to know that they are not alone. The entire Church stands with them in solidarity, compassion, and hope.

As one family in Christ, we are called to open not only our hearts in prayer, but also our hands in service. In moments like this, our faith comes alive through acts of mercy, kindness, and generosity. Whatever help we can offer, no matter how small, becomes a sign of God’s love for those who are suffering.

We lovingly appeal to our lay leaders in the different Diocesan Councils of the Laity and National Lay Organizations to come together, to organize, and to respond with compassion to the urgent needs of our brothers and sisters in Mindanao.

Let us remember the words of Scripture:
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

May the Lord console those who grieve, strengthen those who are afraid, protect those who are vulnerable, and inspire all of us to be instruments of His healing and peace.

Let us continue to pray, to care, and to act as one body in Christ.

May God bless Mindanao, and may God bless us all.

The Sangguniang Laiko ng Pilipinas joins the entire Church in praying for all our brothers and sisters affected by the recent earthquake in Mindanao.

In this time of fear, loss, and uncertainty, we assure them that they are not alone. As one family in Christ, we stand united in solidarity, compassion, and hope.

We call on all Diocesan Councils of the Laity, National Lay Organizations, and lay faithful across the country to come together and respond with generosity and love to the urgent needs of those affected. Let us transform our prayers into concrete acts of mercy and service.

📖 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

Let us pray for the safety of those affected, comfort for those who grieve, strength for those who are afraid, and healing for communities rebuilding after this disaster.

Together, let us continue to pray, care, and act as one Body of Christ.
