A Blessed Day Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

‎For Aug 25, 2026, Tuesday "Veritas Encounters" we will contemplate upon the Gospel of Saint Matthew 16:21-27

Gospel of Matthew Matthew 16:21-27

Jesus began to show his disciplesthat he must go to Jerusalem and suffer greatly from the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised. Then Peter took Jesus aside and began to rebuke him, "God forbid, Lord! No such thing shall ever happen to you." He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle to me. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do."Then Jesus said to his disciples,"Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it,but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? Or what can one give in exchange for his life? For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father's glory, and then he will repay all according to his conduct."

August 23, 2026

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O Holy Father Saint Dominic, You walked the earth with a passion for truth and a heart full of compassion. Look kindly upon us today as we gather on this feast of Saint Rose of Lima. We welcome with joy our brothers and sisters as they received the Rite of Welcoming the Friends of Lay Dominicans (FOLD).

Lord Jesus Christ, the Eternal Word, You called Saint Rose to bloom in the garden of your Church through prayer and penance. Bless these new members as they begin their journey. Set their hearts on fire with the love of your Gospel.

Holy Spirit, Divine Light, guide them in the four pillars of Dominican life:

Prayer: To contemplate your beautiful truth.

Study: To know your wisdom deeply.

Community: To love and support one another.

Apostolate: To preach your word by their lives.

Saint Rose of Lima, first flower of sanctity in the new world, pray for them. Help them to offer their daily lives as a sweet fragrance to God. May they bring the light of Christ to a world in need of hope. We ask this through Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

A Blessed Day Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

Gospel of Matthew 16:13-20

Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi and
he asked his disciples,
"Who do people say that the Son of Man is?"
They replied, "Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah,
still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"
Simon Peter said in reply,
"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
Jesus said to him in reply,
"Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah.
For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.
And so I say to you, you are Peter,
and upon this rock I will build my church,
and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.
I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.
Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven;
and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Then he strictly ordered his disciples
to tell no one that he was the Christ.

"To Praise, to Bless, to Preach: Igniting Faith in the Hearts of the Youth"

Dear Catechists, Volunteers, and Servants of God,

Thru our collective efforts and prayers, we have done it before. Let us make it happen again this 2026 San Pedro Calungsod Catequiz!

As we embark on this sacred mission, we draw profound inspiration from our Dominican tradition and the heroic life of San Pedro Calungsod. Our holy father, St. Dominic de Guzman, envisioned a community dedicated to Veritas (Truth)—a truth that is not just studied, but actively shared to bring souls closer to Christ.

Like San Pedro Calungsod, who was a young, fearless catechist, we are called to be modern witnesses of the Gospel. He did not merely teach the faith; he lived it unto his final breath.

Our mission mirrors the core Dominican charism: "Contemplare et contemplata aliis tradere"—to contemplate and to hand on to others the fruits of our contemplation. Before we can teach, we must first meet Christ in our prayers, sacraments, and shared community. Only then can we effectively preach the beauty of God's love to the young minds waiting for us.

The challenges of our times are great, but our collective faith is greater. Let us labor together with joyful hearts, knowing that every seed of faith we plant today will bloom in God's perfect time. Let us praise God for this opportunity, bless one another with encouragement, and preach the Gospel with unwavering zeal.

Forward in faith, together with San Pedro Calungsod and St. Dominic, let us make the 2026 Catequiz a resounding triumph for the Church and for the glory of God!

To our beloved Brother PJ Garcia 🎂🙏💖 ,

On this auspicious day of your birth, we stand in profound gratitude to Almighty God for the gift of your life, and your unwavering witness to the Gospel.

May the Lord God, in His infinite majesty, pour out His choicest blessings upon you today. May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Protectress of the Order, keep you under her mantle of grace.

Through the intercession of our Holy Father Saint Dominic, may your mind remain sharp in holy study, your voice remain bold in holy preaching, and your heart remain burning with love for Christ.

May your days be filled with celestial joy, enduring peace, and the strength to continue your noble journey in the footsteps of the Preachers.

Blessed and most joyous birthday, Brother PJ Garcia! 🎂🙏💖

August 16, 2026 - BCP Ministry of Altar Server (MOAS) re-affirms their yearly sacred vows

This day marks a sacred milestone of devotion and grace. We celebrate the solemn renewal of commitment to the Holy Altar of God. For generations, the faithful have gathered in this historic sanctuary. Now, they carry forward that noble flame. By answering this higher call, they step into a heritage of reverence and honor. Their hands prepare the sacred space. Their steady presence guides the congregation in prayer. Their devotion brings beauty to the divine liturgy. To serve at the altar is a sacred privilege. It demands a pure heart, a disciplined spirit, and a deep love for the Lord. As they renewed their sacred vows today, may the heavens pour out abundant blessings upon them, their family and friends. May they be granted the strength of faith, the wisdom of service, and the joy of being close to the King of Kings. Go forth with courage. Walk with dignity. Shine as bright lights of faith within our beloved community.

Congratulations on your yearly renewal! May your service forever bring glory to God.

Amen.
