Happy birthday, mami Angel!🥳

We wish you an amazing birthday and a wonderful year ahead. May you enjoy every bit of happiness that you deserve!

Your journey at TUP is notable, and became a motivating force to the students to strive for more and to do more. Kindled by your compassionate heart, you served the TUP community with full dedication and hard work as USG Senator and Head of the League of Student Organizations for the Academic Year 21-22, at the same time, graduated as Cum Laude.

We are grateful that you chose to serve us. May your future endeavors be prosperous. Hope all your wishes come true.

The petition of EE students to conduct TUPEES Election 2022 is now approved!

Despite submitting the said petition last August 10 through the WYE Advocates and COE CSC, the TUP Electrical Engineering Society headed by the president, Mr. Leo Abot posted last August 15, the application for appointment of the organization's executive officers. For the 5th year no election shall be done.

On the other hand, the COE-CSC together with the WYE Advocates strongly believe that election and our right to suffrage is important for all student organizations in the College of Engineering for a fair and just system of choosing the rightful officers to represent its constituents.

Yesterday, we submitted the hardcopy of the petition and gets the approval of the College of Engineering Dean, Engr. Nilo Argo and the EE Department Head, Engr. Jovencio Merin, while the TUP-EES Adviser, Engr. Rovenson Sevilla pledges that the TUP-EES Election shall be done this year.

We are now hoping for a just and fair election for EE students. Good luck to all aspiring leaders!

REV UP: Year of the Student Organizations Review

The end of the school year student leaders meet will happen tomorrow, 19th of July 2022, at 9:00 am in the University TUP Library.

The student bodies involved are composed of the University Student Government (USG), The Philippine Artisan (PA), Accredited Clubs and Student Organizations (ACSO), the League of Student Organizations (LSO), and the Commission on Student Elections (COMSELEC).

After two years of online interaction, we will finally conduct a face-to-face leader meeting to discuss the concerns that were encountered regarding extra and co-curricular activities for the school year 2021-2022. The best practices of student organizations will also be tackled as well as the pre-accreditation process for every student organization.

We will also welcome for tomorrow's event our new Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Director, Prof. Zachariah John A. Belmonte.

A gentle reminder for every student leader:
1. Observe social distancing at all times and wear a face mask.
2. Call time is 8:30 am at the TUP Library.
3. Bring vaccine cards and TUP ID to be presented to the guards.
4. Avoid loitering inside the University.
5. Be in school uniform or org shirt.
6. Observe hair and dress code.
7. Earrings are not allowed among males.
8. Lunch will be served.
9. Clean as we go...
10. Enjoy this historical first-ever face-to-face student activity after 2 years!

See you there!!!

Heads up, TUPians!

Every year between October and May, the flu may spread and affect anybody, but certain people are more vulnerable. Flu complications are most common in young children and adults, the elderly, and those with particular health disorders or a weaker immune system.

The University Student Government with University Clinic would like to ask for your help answering this survey, "Survey on Obtaining Flu and Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccine for Interested Students of TUP- Manila."

Some types of human papillomavirus can be avoided; by using an HPV vaccine. The said virus includes cervical, vaginal, and vulvar cancers in women —-penile cancer in men, a**l cancer in both men and women, tonsil, the base of the tongue, and back of throat cancers in both men and women.

Since HPV can be transmitted through intimate skin-to-skin or sexual contact, the HPV vaccine can prevent more than 90% of HPV-related cancers.

Note: 1. This will be free of charge once the budget is approved---the date cannot be specified for now, but we will announce it once the budget acquire these vaccines is approved.

2. Only those who will give their consent to be vaccinated will be included in the final count.
