Through misunderstandings, disagreements, and distance, a mother continues to love and care for their loved ones. It may not always be expressed through words, but through their continued sacrifice and patience. A mother’s love is often quiet and unseen, but it is real and can be felt nonetheless. 🌷

We honor the women who continues to choose love and care for their families, for all the sacrifices that they have made, and for the light they bring to every home. Take this day as a reminder that their love, though unconditional, should never be taken for granted. Janica and her family are currently facing overwhelming medical expenses after her mother recently underwent a major operation where part of her breast had to be removed to save her life. Their current expenses have already reached nearly ₱200,000, covering laboratory tests and hospital bills alone, while medications, chemotherapy, and radiology treatments are still ongoing.

As they continue navigating this difficult time, they are humbly asking for prayers, shares, or any amount of support to help ease the burden on their family and support her mother’s recovery. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, means a lot.

A powerful lesson has been engraved in all of us as we participated in 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲. With 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗻 of the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 as our speaker, we were given a deeper understanding of the realities surrounding human rights work, the struggles of the everyday Filipino, where silence enables injustice, and action becomes a necessity.

Through her stories, we were reminded that the practice of law goes beyond luxury and class, for it demands courage, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to uphold the dignity of others. As future legal professionals, the responsibility to protect, to speak out, and to stand for those who cannot stand for themselves rests in our hands. We thank 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗧𝘄𝘆𝗹𝗮 𝗔. Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) persists not because it is unseen—but because it is too often left unspoken, misunderstood, or minimized. Confronting it requires more than awareness; it calls for courage, empathy, and a shared sense of responsibility.

Recognizing the realities many silently endure, and understanding that addressing VAWC begins with acknowledging it. Each point raised served as a reminder that silence is never neutral—it allows harm to continue where it should have already stopped.

More than just insights, these moments urged us to be more mindful, more informed, and more willing to stand for what is right. To create spaces where voices are heard, where dignity is protected, and where accountability is upheld.

In the end, awareness is only the beginning—what we choose to do with it defines the difference.

With the conclusion of 𝗟𝗲𝘅𝗦𝗢 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹: 𝗦𝗼… 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁? We are left with invaluable insights and advice based on actual experiences of our proud Alumni, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗲 𝗩. 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗹 and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠. 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮! The stories and experiences they shared of navigating the field we're all so excited to walk on has definitely given us ideas on what to look out for and what to expect!

Their journeys reminded us that there is no single path to success, and that it all begins with the courage to take the first step. As we move forward towards the journeys of our own, may we carry these lessons with us as they serve not just as knowledge, but as motivation to shape our own paths with purpose and determination. 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹 was meaningful and successful! This initiative became more than just a wall—it became a symbol and reminder of strength, confidence, and solidarity among women. Through the simple act of sharing essentials, beautiful flowers, and encouraging messages, we were able to remind every woman that she is powerful, valued, and capable of achieving great things. Last March 21, 𝐋𝐞𝐱 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐬 had the incredible opportunity to take part in 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘀: 𝗖𝗮𝗻’𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀! It was a day filled with laughter and unforgettable moments that brought out the playful Pinoy spirit in all of us!
