The PATA Philippines Chapter convened for its 𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 at 𝐋𝐚 𝐏𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐚, 𝟏𝟖𝟗𝟖 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐄𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬, gathering board members and industry pioneers to elevate upcoming projects, evaluate year-to-date milestones, and chart new paths for sustainable tourism.

PATA PHILIPPINES CHAPTER
Members of the PATA Philippines Chapter actively participated in the PATA Travel Mart held in Kuching from August 18 to 20. The event provided an exceptional platform to engage with international sellers and forge valuable industry partnerships. Delegates immersed themselves in the warm hospitality of the people of Sarawak and experienced firsthand the rich culinary heritage that earned Kuching its designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

In line with ongoing mission to inspire and nurture the next generation of leaders in travel, we would like to invite you to nominate up to two of your top under-35 talents to join Next Generation Leaders: The Unconference, happening during WiT Singapore’s Innovation Day on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.

This year’s theme is: *A New Beginning: Building Purpose and Impact In Your Journeys*

21 — a symbolic age of transition. A moment when you begin to move beyond where you came from and start defining where you want to go.

It is a time to ask bigger questions: Who do I want to become? What impact do I want to create? And what kind of industry do I want to help shape?

Travel is at a similar moment of transformation. As our industry navigates technological shifts, generational change and evolving expectations, the next generation of leaders must reflect on not only how they build their careers, but also the purpose and impact they want to create.

This third edition of Next Generation Leaders is about marking that milestone — creating a space for emerging leaders to become better versions of themselves, build meaningful connections, and shape the future of our industry.

Because every new beginning starts with you.

With minimal structure and maximum participation, this two-hour closed-door roundtable brings together rising stars under 35 with a curated group of coaches who will guide conversations, reflections and exchanges. Ultimately, this is a space for participants to learn from one another, challenge perspectives, and explore what leadership means in their own journeys.

Each nominated participant will receive complimentary access to:
- WiT Bootcamp on 30 September
- Main Stage sessions on 1 & 2 October
- Social events (except those marked as invite-only) from 1–2 October

This is a by-invite-only session with limited capacity, offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

No amount of rain or heavy traffic could dampen our spirits today. 🌧️✨
Together with three of my fellow Board Members Marlene Insigne , Teody Espallardo , Agnes Macapia from the PATA Philippines Chapter, we traveled to Laguna to personally distribute financial assistance to 60 deserving students—the teens of the hardworking boatmen of Cavinti and Pagsanjan, as well as the skilled weavers of Lumban.
The journey on the road was long, but seeing the bright, hopeful smiles on the children’s faces made every minute completely worth it. At the heart of sustainable tourism are the local communities and the families who keep our culture and natural heritage alive.
Investing in their children’s education is an investment in the future of Philippine tourism. 🇵🇭💙

The TME and PATA Block Screening of Spider-Man: Brand New Day 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱 last July 29, 2026, at 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝟳, 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗹, bringing together dedicated supporters for an exciting night of cinema with a deeply meaningful purpose.

More than just a movie premiere, this impactful session served as a 𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲—directly supporting our 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 for the children of the tourism sector in 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗻, 𝗖𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗻. Many of these families, particularly our 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻, are still struggling to recover from the devastating economic aftershocks of the pandemic, compounded by current global conflicts in the Middle East affecting livelihoods.
