Some 400 elderly received New Year presents from four Manila Lions clubs on January 13, 2025, celebrating the 146th birth anniversary of Lions International founder Melvin Jones. The senior citizens are sheltered by the Manila City Government's Social Welfare Department at the Luwalhati ng Maynila (Home for the Aged) at the Manila Boystown Compound in Marikina City. The Manila Sampaguita Lions Club in partnership with Manila Divisoria Lions Club, Manila Sakura Lions Club, and Manila Magnanimous Lions Club fed them spaghetti and ham sandwiches, fruits such as apples and oranges with bottled water, and gifted them with lunch boxes and coffee mugs. The members and the recipients sang the birthday song to Melvin Jones and blew a candle on a cake. The joint project was dubbed "Kayo Po Ang Una, Kayo Po Ang Bida" to highlight the importance of the Elderly in society.

The Manila Sampaguita Lions Club members and representatives of San Miguel Corporation (SMC) distributed 218 Christmas gift bags to homeless people who live in the streets of Ermita and Malate Districts of Manila on December 8, 2024. The SMC-Lions Club partnership, now in its fourth year, gave homeless families an early Christmas treat with bags filled with food and hygiene products. The Lions and San Miguel representatives went around the two city districts in several vehicles on the evening of December 8, 2024, to spot those people sleeping on sidewalks and present them with a bag full of items, including Purefoods and Star canned corned beef, luncheon meat, cheese, bread, bottled water, instant coffee, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.
