JUNK, JUNK EDCA! FROM IRAN TO THE PHILIPPINES, STOP THE US WAR MACHINE!

Today marks the 12th anniversary of the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement since it was signed last 2014 and the second month of the ongoing war between US-Israel against the sovereign of Iran in their attempt to control their oil industry and their regime.

To start this historic day, the End the US War on Iran Coalition NCR was officially launched through a press conference this morning at Kalaw cor. Taft. Then, we marched to the United States Embassy and amplified the calls for the removal of all US military bases in the Philippines through the withdrawal of all unequal treaties between the US and our country. We also called on the end of the deadly war on Iran that has killed 3,375 Iranians and injured 26,500+.

We marched under the scorching heat of the sun to Rajah Sulayman Park, where we continued with performances and speeches from different advocacy groups. This is just a commitment of a challenging yet inspirational goal of strengthening the anti-imperialist movement in the Philippines. This Labor Day, we will march again for justice and peace for the Filipinos and all victims of the imperialist wars of agressions in all parts of the world.

Bukas ay ika-12 taon na simula noong pirmahan ang kasunduang Enhanced Defense Cooperation ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas at Estados Unidos. Sa kasalukuyang agresyon sa iba't ibang panig ng mundo, tinuturing magnet ng karahasan ang mga base militar na ito, kaysa maging benepisyo para sa mga Pilipino.

On April 28, the Youth for Justice and Peace and End the US War on Iran Coalition NCR will be holding a March4Peace to call for the immediate end of the ongoing war of US-Israel against Iran and the withdrawal of the Philippines from all unequal treaties of US and Philippines, including the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA). This April 28 is the 12th year of effectivity of EDCA since it was signed on 2014. We will also be marching for justice and accountability for all the victims of the US-led wars of aggression. We asked for peace
They gave us war… and ₱140/L diesel

As supersonic missiles fly across the Middle East, we Filipinos are left to our own devices as prices for petroleum, food and fares shoot up just as fast. Now, imperialist aggression is not just a distant headline but a missile hitting pockets, our livelihoods, and our future.

All the while, our government, the Marcos Jr. administration, still hosts American and foreign troops in our country, further emboldening them to use the Philippines as a base to escalate regional tensions.

We must march again and stand in solidarity against imperialist aggression. On April 28, 10AM WEAR WHITE and come March for Peace 2!
