First, notice the barriers. Then learn how to remove them.

For many people, accessibility is still unfamiliar. Some hear the word and think it only applies to ramps, wheelchairs, or physical spaces. But accessibility also affects the content we post, the websites we build, the forms we share, the videos we upload, and the digital tools people rely on every day.

LIFT x GAAD 2026 is here to make that connection clearer. We are not starting with jargon. We are starting with real examples, practical tips, and everyday digital barriers people can actually recognize and fix.

Join us this May 21 for a free online event that helps turn awareness into action.

Could Someone Who Is Blind Use Your Last Post?
Not a gotcha. A genuine question worth sitting with.

Most of us create content without stopping to ask whether it works for everyone who might see it. Alt text missing. Color contrast too low. Links that say click here with no further context. Small gaps individually, but real ones that add up into a barrier. Global Accessibility Awareness Day is about noticing those gaps. LIFT x GAAD 2026 is about doing something about them.

Join us May 21 and find out exactly what to look for and what to fix.

Your content can look fine and still shut people out.

For millions of people, inaccessible digital content is not a minor inconvenience. It is the everyday reality. A post with no alt text. A website that cannot be navigated with a keyboard. A form that breaks completely without a mouse. These are not edge cases. They are barriers that real people hit every day, often without the creator ever knowing it happened. The good news is that fixing them is more straightforward than most people think.

At LIFT x GAAD 2026 on May 21, we are breaking it all down in plain language with real examples and practical tools you can put to work right away.

One billion people in the world live with a disability.

That is roughly 15% of the global population. Now think about the last post you shared, the last website you updated, the last form you sent someone to fill out. Could all of those people access it? For most digital spaces, the honest answer is no. And most creators do not know they are the ones building the barrier. That gap between intention and reality is exactly what Global Accessibility Awareness Day exists to close.

On May 21, LIFT is hosting a free online event to help you understand the gap and start closing it. Practical tips. Real examples. Professionals who work in this space every day.

Something big is coming in two weeks.

May 21 is Global Accessibility Awareness Day, and LIFT is hosting a free online event to mark it. The digital world still shuts millions of people out every single day, not because good solutions do not exist, but because most creators have never been shown what to do. This event changes that. From talks on mobile and social media accessibility to a panel of professionals from across the field, LIFT x GAAD 2026 is where awareness becomes something you can actually use.

Join us on May 21 from 4:00 to 6:30 PM (Manila Time). It is free. It is practical. And it is designed for anyone who wants to be part of building a more accessible digital world.
