This perspective is reflected in the community report of scholar Fayzah Inshirah Alonto Ala, whose first piece focuses on Marawi, a city of significant demographic importance, particularly in its post-conflict context following the 2017 siege. In her report, Fayzah examines the transitory temporary shelters in Marawi to gain a deeper understanding of the living conditions of affected residents, highlighting the realities faced by communities in recovery.

Brushstrokes At the Cusp of Change, a paint exhibit by the remarkable Dr. Florangel Rosario Braid, has officially opened.

Each canvas is more than paint on surface—they are lived moments, memories, and quiet reflections translated into color and form. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating not only an artist’s vision, but a lifetime of advocacy, creativity, and spirit.

We hope you walked away with more than just admiration—with a feeling, a thought, or even a favorite piece that now lives in your memory.

The exhibit runs until July 9, 2025—we hope to see you again.
