“OFY’s performance was marked by a refreshing energy, with its young musicians producing a sound that was both mature and polished under the direction of Mr. Salonga. His enthusiasm was evident in his gestures as he shaped the music with energy and expressiveness, even throughout the longer works. The concert also fostered a strong sense of connection between the orchestra and the audience, particularly through his warm, conversational introductions to the pieces, which created an inviting, informal atmosphere.”

The Music for A Regenerative Future featured nature-inspired master works and sounded a clarion call for ecological protection.

The universality of this theme was eloquently expressed in the intelligently chosen works from both West and Asia, notably Japan and the Philippines.”
