g to actively uphold the Program of the Organization. Anakbayan holds the belief that Philippine society today is not truly free nor democratic. It is under the control of U.S imperialism, along with local landlords, big capitalists, and corrupt gov’t officials. The National Democratic Struggle seeks to realize true national liberation for the country and the realization of the democratic rights of the people.

BENILDEANS FIGHT FOR GENUINE STUDENT REPRESENTATION!

FIGHT FOR STUDENT SPACES AND DEMOCRATIC RIGHTS!

Elections were suspended on July 27 due to the President’s State of the Nation Address. The initial recalibrated dates were July 28 and 29, only to be further shifted to July 30 and August 1.

Currently elections have been suspended until further notice with no explanation.

This disregard for student’s voices, which the elections should present, is indicative of the administration’s priorities. If the administration that supervises COMELEC and BeSG doesn’t place the proper importance on student elections, how must Benildeans push for genuine student representation?

ABVC Chairperson Liway Molines, in response to Remulla's visit through the Lasalle Institute for Governance, assures him that the Lasallian student body views him as a laughingstock and an utter disgrace to the Lasallian Principles. Clearly not a model for governance.

They then urged Lasallians to resist the undermining of the University's democratic spaces through Remulla's visit, adding that this does nothing to address the genuine concerns of the Lasallian student body.

REMULLA NOT WELCOME IN DLSU!

IN PHOTOS: On July 27, Anakbayan Vito Cruz, together with fellow youth and democratic organizations, joined thousands of Filipinos in the SONA ng Bayan along Commonwealth Avenue to amplify the people's calls for accountability, social justice, and broader systemic change.

In particular, the mobilization called for the end of foreign domination by US Imperialism, amplifying the call to reject Pax Silica and, as such, the termination of all unequal agreements.

NO TO PAX SILICA!
BULOK NA SISTEMA, BAGUHIN!

But do you know what's more insane? FOUR YEARS OF MARCOS-DUTERTE REGIME—failed economic policies, rising debt, rounds of foreign trips, oil price hikes, corruption scandal, and an AI data center amidst widespread poverty hunger, and unemployment.

Four years in, Marcos Jr. and Duterte have not fulfilled any of their promises and has instead made history with the largest corruption scandal and a series of Senate leadership changes amidst a controversial impeachment trial.

ALERT: Manila LGU displaces Vendors around Agno Area at Fidel A.Reyes Street

Around 11:05am, LGU officials accompanied by policemen have ordered vendors and parked motorists around Agno and Fidel A. Reyes street to disperse and clear the way in order for the street to be passable to incoming motorists.

LGU officials have warned the vendors to disperse immediately or else their stalls will be confiscated by policement, and have also warned them not to come back.

Anakbayan Vito Cruz condems the decision undertaken by the LGU in restricting access for vendors, students, and passerbys to public spaces, and instead prioritizes motorists who do not even make a majority of the traffic passing through the area. It also jeopardizes the livelihoods of small vendors who earn a living from selling food at affordable prices to DLSU students and local residents.

At a time of severe economic crisis, where prices of goods continue to increase and unemployment is at 4.8%, we must enact measures that protect and ensure the livelihood of our informal workers as well as the spaces that provide affordability for students.

LASALLIAN SENIOR HIGH STUDENTS, USE YOUR VOICE!

The National Democratic Mass Organizations (NDMOs) of Vito Cruz, Panday Sining Malate - Rektikano, Anakbayan Vito Cruz, and Kabataan Partylist Vito Cruz challenge the handling of the Senior High School (SHS) Student Council elections and call upon SHS students to be informed and appropriately critical of the candidates’ positions and to vote wisely during this term’s elections.

Pax Silica is a US-led initiative to secure a supply chain of critical minerals among partner countries for manufacturing semiconductors (i.e., chipsets) to develop its AI industry. A 1,629-hectare land in New Clark City will serve as one of its sites (rent-free!) where an AI data center is proposed to be constructed.

Land in the Philippines is also controlled by the US through the EDCA sites where it stores weaponry, ammunition, and vehicles, which are being further developed using AI—using the country as a stage for its war games.
