The Rotaract Club of Chinatown - Manila The Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila is one of the best ways to meet new people, create great relationships, and help entire community.

A group of aspiring youth leaders and proactive professional Filipino-Chinese individuals with the passion to serve the community convened on June, 2011 and decided to organize a community based club, a non-profit organization for Filipino-Chinese ages 18-30 years old. A casual meeting and brief orientation of a core group with the late District Secretary PP Edison Ong and District Rotaract Chair

PP Victor Lau in CFBCI, Manila gave birth to the provisional Rotaract Club while still finalizing who will be the sponsoring Rotary Club. It was in July 2, after seeking the advice and recommendation of the late DS Magic Ong, and DRC Victor Lau and the consultation was made with the Rotary Club of Chinatown-Manila PP Mylene Co, the provisional Rotaract Club have decided to sought the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Chinatown-Manila under the leadership of ChangeMaker President Nellie King and finally organize the organizational meeting and named the provisional club to Rotaract Club of Chinatown- Manila after the name of its mother club. August 8, 2011 the Rotary Club of Chinatown-Manila President Nellie King together with the newly formed Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila Charter President John Alexiz Tan presented the Rotaract Club Certification Form and paid the registration fee amounted to $50 to District Governor Ernesto Choa in Worldtrade Center, Pasay City to officially register the Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila to Rotary International. After which, the Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila who have passion to service and promises to do its best to make a lasting change in the community, and provide an avenue to become good role models to their fellow youth had started recruiting members for the Charter Presentation & 1st Induction of Officers and Members and organize the Mooncake Fellowship that was done in September 24, 2011 at the President Grand Palace Restaurant in Binondo, Manila. With the combined efforts, the club was able to gather and inducted 50 members in its first recruitment year. Finally, the newly organized club, Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila was officially Chartered in September 15, 2011 under the Rotary International District 3810, Philippines with the club ID no. 89668. It was June 16, 2012 when the Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila awarded as the District Rookie Club of the Year during the District 3810 Awards Night and Clarise Joy San Jose as the District Rotaract Representative. In June 28, 2012 Rotary Club of Chinatown-Manila recognized the Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila as the Most Outstanding Rotaract Club during the RY 2011-2012. In Rotary Year 2012-2013 during the D3810 Awards Night and Mark Hernandez as the District Rotaract Representative, the Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila bagged 13 Outstanding Awards and was named as the 2nd Most Outstanding Rotaract Clubs of D3810. The Club is continuously being recognized by different organisations particularly in the Filipino-Chinese Community.

Last July 31, 2026, the Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila had the privilege of co-sponsoring the Chiang Kai Shek College Batch 2011 Spider-Man Movie Block Screening at S Maison. The event successfully raised funds for Batch 2011's reunion and their upcoming community outreach activities. It was an honor to partner with them on this initiative, and we can't wait to join forces on more impactful projects ahead.

From June 25 to July 25, 2026, the Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila co-hosted the Reading Program Enrichment for Kindergarten Students of the Rotaract Club of Pasay-Libertad at Sitio Paradise, Barangay San Pedro, Laguna.

The project was divided into four weekly sessions, offering kindergarten students engaging lessons on letters, numbers, colors, shapes, storytelling, and coloring activities. The program culminated in a Graduation Day and Turn-Over Ceremony, celebrating the children's learning journey and their achievements.

Last Saturday, July 18, 2026, the Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila gathered at Axiaa Hotel for our General Assembly 2026 and DRR's Visit. It wasn't just a meetingβ€”it was a celebration of where we’ve been and a blueprint for where we’re going.

President Nicole laid out our accomplishments and future plans, while DRR Rico and the Rotaract District Committee provided invaluable guidance. But the real magic happened during the GAβ€”watching new members get excited about service and old friends rekindle their passion for community work.

The Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila participated in the β€œHooked in Service” Community Fishing Fellowship hosted by the Rotary Club of Empowered Leaders at Aling Nene's Pond in Valenzuela City on July 18, 2026.

The gathering brought together Rotarians and Rotaractors for a meaningful day of friendship, camaraderie, and community engagement. Beyond the fun and excitement of fishing, the activity highlighted the importance of patience, teamwork, and cherishing meaningful moments with fellow members of the Rotary family.

On July 16, 2026, our sponsoring club, the Rotary Club of Chinatown Manila, held its 34th Handover and Induction Ceremony at Gloria Maris MAAX, Pasay City. During the occasion, President Henry Tan was formally inducted, along with his Board of Directors, succeeding Immediate Past President Edwin Carabbacan.

The event was attended by District Governor and Guest of Honor, Dr. Maria Rosa "Bing" Carrion, fellow Rotarians from within and outside the District, their Partners in Service, and other distinguished guests.

We, the Rotaract Club of Chinatown Manila, assisted our dear sponsoring club throughout the program proper. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the club's ongoing service projects and Global Grant initiatives, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable community impact.

The Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila joined and supported in the Community Outreach Activity organized by the Ministry of Love & Care Foundation, Inc. (MLCFI) at the Chosen Children Village Foundation, Inc. in Silang, Cavite, on July 15, 2026.

During the outreach we distributed snacks, kiddie crayons, and face masks to the children, sharing moments of joy and encouragement through simple yet meaningful acts of kindness. The activity reflected the club's commitment to serving communities and supporting initiatives that uplift the lives of others.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Ministry of Love & Care Foundation, Inc. for the opportunity to be part of this meaningful initiative. Together, we continue to create lasting impact through compassion, service, and community.

The Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila in partnership with Rotaract Clubs of Manila Metro (D3810),and Rotaract Club of Ortigas Center (D3800) conducted a Community Assessment in Rodriguez (Montalban), Rizal, on July 14, 2026, as part of its commitment to understanding the community's needs and identifying opportunities for meaningful and sustainable service for our upcoming joint project

During the visit, members engaged with the community, gathered valuable insights, and assessed areas where future projects can create the greatest impact. These findings will serve as a guide in developing initiatives that respond to the community's needs and foster lasting positive change.

On July 12, the Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila was proudly represented by ICP Nicole Sze and Director for International Relations Jasmine Lao during the 1st Rotaract Presidents & Secretaries Night hosted by Rotaract District 3810.
The virtual gathering provided important district updates, reporting guidelines, and meaningful discussions to help club leaders prepare for the Rotary year ahead. Participants also reviewed Rotary’s Areas of Focus to strengthen project planning and reporting.
