Behind Siargao’s global appeal lies a growing crisis of gentrification and displacement. While tourism boosts the economy, it must NEVER compromise the welfare, dignity, and culture of the locals who call the island home.

Responsible tourism requires shared accountability. Recent incidents of misconduct remind us that tourists visits and investments are privileges—not free passes to bypass basic decency.
