In our latest session, Prof. Nestro Castro took us on an enlightening journey with his talk, "(Re) Understanding the SHIFT in Philippine Culture and Society." He shared a powerful message with the Rizalian participants: "𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙞𝙣 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙩 𝙣𝙜 𝙠𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙠𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙗𝙤."

This simple yet profound reminder highlights how monoculturalism has long marginalized indigenous cultures, diminishing their rich traditions and unique ways of life. It calls us to reflect on the importance of embracing diversity and preserving the cultural heritage that truly defines us as a nation.

Let's continue to champion cultural inclusivity—because every culture has a voice that deserves to be heard!
