The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), conducted an onsite Pre-Implementation Meeting for the newly approved Institution Development Program (IDP) project titled “𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗦 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀” (PMIS No. 1214990) held at Pablo Mateo Conference Room, PUP Sta. Mesa, Manila.

The meeting was attended by representatives from DOST-PCIEERD, led by Ms. Glenda Dorcas T. Sacbibit, Supervising Science Research Specialist, together with Ms. Franchesca Angeline Carranza, Science Research Specialist II; Ms. Ma. Lerelie M. Villaflor, Ms. Judy Mae G. Asis, and Engr. Angelo Buenar B. Bayle, Project Technical Assistant IV; and Ms. Tzarina Gail I. Sablan, Project Administrative Assistant III. Also in attendance were the PUP project team, composed of Dr. John Paul A. Besagas, Dr. Rengie Mark D. Mailig, and Project Staff Mr. John Angelo Capile, together with the Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Lourdes V. Alvarez.

During the meeting, the DOST-PCIEERD representatives held an orientation on the guidelines covering the roles and responsibilities of the project team, procurement procedures, project implementation, and the submission of required reports. The orientation aimed to ensure the smooth and compliant implementation of the project.

The meeting marks a significant milestone in strengthening PUP’s research infrastructure, further enhancing the BS Physics program, and advancing the University’s capabilities in quantum science and quantum materials research.

Hindi lamang sila mga pangalang nakaukit sa mga aklat ng kasaysayan. Ang kanilang tapang, paninindigan, at pagmamahal sa bayan ay patuloy na nagbibigay-aral sa bawat Pilipino. Mula sa mga bayaning nakipaglaban para sa ating kalayaan hanggang sa mga karaniwang mamamayang tahimik na naglilingkod, 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘄𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆.

Ang Araw ng mga Bayani ay hindi lamang araw ng paggunita, kundi araw din ng pagninilay. 𝗔𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻? Paano natin magagamit ang ating talino, tinig, kakayahan, at mga karapatan upang ipagtanggol ang ating bayan sa mga nais maminsala?
