For 57 years, you have faithfully answered God’s call and dedicated your life to the service of His people. Your priesthood is a living witness to Christ’s love, mercy, and compassion. Through your ministry, countless hearts have been inspired, strengthened, and drawn closer to God.

As we celebrate the 58th Foundation Day of the Communication Foundation for Asia, we also honor with gratitude the life and mission of its founder, Fr. Cornelio Lagerwey, MSC.

Our celebration remains simple in keeping with the spirit that has shaped our community through the years. In quiet gatherings and joyful moments of bonding, we play, we laugh, and we share the stories of our lives.

With hearts filled with gratitude and hope, we extend our sincere appreciation to the 26 participants of the 35th Catechetical Congress (1st Batch), centered on the theme Dilexit Nos: One Heart, One Mission, One Voice.

Coming from the Diocese of Novaliches, Diocese of Tarlac, Archdiocese of Cebu, Diocese of Surigao, Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia, Diocese of Romblon, Diocese of Bayombong, Diocese of Virac, and the Pious Workers Sisters of the Immaculate Conception Congregation, each of you has brought a unique spirit of dedication, faith, and commitment to the mission of catechesis.

Your presence is more than participation, it is a living witness to a shared calling. In your openness to learn, to grow, and to be formed, you have embodied the unity of heart that Christ Himself invites us into. As you return to your respective communities, may what you have received not remain only as knowledge, but become a flame, quiet yet steadfast, guiding others toward truth, hope, and love.

The 35th Catechetical Congress (1st Batch), centered on the theme “Dilexit Nos: One Heart, One Mission, One Voice,” became a grace-filled gathering that truly touched the lives of its participants.
Many shared that the experience met and even surpassed their expectations. Beyond learning new skill sets and strategies, they discovered a renewed sense of purpose in their calling.

They said that the sessions, aside from informing the mind greatly, also touched the heart deeply, so much so that they have been equipped to be able to carry out their catechetical and evangelization mission with greater passion, conviction and effectiveness.

In a profound way, the Congress reminded everyone that catechesis is not merely a task, but a vocation rooted in love a response to the One who first loved us.

United in heart, mission, and voice, the participants now move forward inspired to become more faithful witnesses of the Gospel in their respective communities.

Cultural Night Presentation

The first batch of participants (April 22-24, 2026) of CFA's 35th Catechetical Congress that bears the theme, "Dilexit Nos: One Heart, One Voice, One Mission," came together in the spirit of joy and unity as they actively participated in the cultural night presentation at the Lagerwey Hall. This event is always held at the last night of the catechetical congress.

Through their vibrant dance performances, they did not only show their talents but also the richness of their cultures and the beauty of shared faith. It reminds everyone that catechesis is not just about teaching the faith but also about deeply living and joyfully celebrating it in community.

It was an evening of movements and expressions, of communicating the language of the heart that goes beyond words. It is a witness to the truth that when people move as one in love, their mission becomes clearer, their voices stronger and their faith more alive.
