Background
Artistikong Kabataan Philippines is an artists’ guild, non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan, and independent organization. It provides trainings to activate leadership with a heart among the youth, promote cultural heritage and sense of nationalism; and empowers through enhancing the capabilities of the youth in arts.We use art as a tool to transform communities and address issues
that the youth of today faces. Founded by artist and youth leader, Anna Karina Jardin in 2011 (SEC registered year); AKP aims to bring to the various organizations, schools , young people and art enthusiast in the country and other cultures, an experience of empowerment and leadership anchored in Artistry, mutual respect, values and a common goal to be a catalyst of change with a heart. We, at Artistikong Kabataan Philippines, give prime importance to the capacity building of young individuals in order to effect change in our communities, the nation and eventually the world. Through honing the visual arts talent of today’s youth (we also include children) we help them restore their self-worth, incorruptible and genuine thoughts towards issues that we face today in the society. We envision a new generation who will be aware of their identity as a Filipino and capabilities as a global citizen of the world. III. Our Commitments
Guided by this vision, we submit ourselves to the following commitments
• To provide quality training that will enhance the talents of children and youth.
• To create an avenue to learn how to magnify their capabilities and dreams
• To equip the youth with the necessary skills and values to face the realities of today.
• To promote Filipino heritage and culture through the arts.
• To create responsible, resourceful and motivated youth leaders/individuals in communities
• To help budding young artists build their identities and be catalysts of change
IV. Programs
AKP believes in empowering the youth holistically by further developing their talents, skills and self-awareness. Keeping in mind the importance of our innate rights (self-determination) and heritage as Filipinos, our programs are fit to establish and acknowledge the talents and fundamental concepts of motivation vis-s-vis understanding their own identity. We provide various programs that may enhance their growth not just artistically but also as individuals. We also believe in valuing values in order to achieve success. Our programs are as follows:
• Talents, social entrepreneurship and leadership skills development workshops
• Personality Development Seminars and Worskhops
• Painting lessons for youth leaders, out of school youth, indigent children and communities, and different-able children
• Team building
• Mural making in partnerships with schools,LGUs, and other organizations
• Organizational Visioning and Planning

• Fund-raising
• Medical assistance
• Relief Operations
• Scholarship grants (Only applicable at Talao-Talao, Quezon Province and Mon Real Masbate at the moment)
• Anti youth delinquency seminars
• Internship Program ( In partnership with AIESEC UST)
