Confirmed Plenary Speaker | 9th International & 17th Annual National Scientific Meeting of the Philippine Society for Cell Biology (PSCB)

Meet Dr. Michiya Matsusaki, Ph.D., Full Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, Department of Applied Chemistry, Osaka University, and Head of the Matsusaki Laboratory, whose pioneering work in biomaterials and tissue engineering brings him to PSCB 2026 as one of our plenary speakers.

Recognized for his contributions in his research focus, with multiple publications and awards, Dr. Matsusaki will present “Viscose Nanomatrices: In Situ Cell-Laden Tissue Engineering”.

We are honored to announce Dr. Jin Han, MD, Ph.D., Director of the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease Center and Director of the Biomedical Center, Glocal University 30 Project at Inje University, South Korea, as one of our plenary speakers.

Confirmed Plenary Speaker | 9th International & 17th Annual National Scientific Meeting of the Philippine Society for Cell Biology (PSCB)

We proudly welcome Dr. Robert Moon, Ph.D., Associate Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom, as one of the plenary speakers for the upcoming PSCB conference this October.

Dr. Moon’s research focuses on malaria parasites, specifically 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘶𝘮 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘪, and he has established a human red blood cell culture for the parasite. His pioneering work is now widely used in laboratory studies and drug and vaccine development.

PSCB in China 🇨🇳

Last April 8-12, PSCB proudly represented the Philippines at the 10th Asia-Pacific Organization for Cell Biology Congress, a Joint Meeting of the 10th Asia-Pacific Organization for Cell Biology (APOCB), 16th International Congress of Cell Biology (ICCB), and 2026 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology (CSCB), held in Hefei, China.

The event brought together cell biologists from across the globe, providing a platform to exchange the latest discoveries and innovations in the field, while connecting with fellow professionals dedicated to advancing cell biology research. 🌏🔬
