Meet Dr. Luis Saraiva, Ph.D. MBA—Principal Investigator at Sidra Medicine, Associate Professor Adjunct at Yale University, and Joint Associate Professor at Hamad bin Khalifa University—as one of our esteemed Plenary Speakers at PSCB 2026.

Dr. Saraiva will present “Deconstructing Rare Diseases with Functional Genomics - A Qatari Adventure”, sharing how functional genomics is transforming our understanding of rare genetic diseases and opening new possibilities for the development of more innovative diagnostics and personalized therapies.

PSCB in China 🇨🇳

Last April 8-12, PSCB proudly represented the Philippines at the 10th Asia-Pacific Organization for Cell Biology Congress, a Joint Meeting of the 10th Asia-Pacific Organization for Cell Biology (APOCB), 16th International Congress of Cell Biology (ICCB), and 2026 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology (CSCB), held in Hefei, China.

The event brought together cell biologists from across the globe, providing a platform to exchange the latest discoveries and innovations in the field, while connecting with fellow professionals dedicated to advancing cell biology research. 🌏🔬

Confirmed Plenary Speaker | 9th International & 17th Annual National Scientific Meeting of the Philippine Society for Cell Biology (PSCB)

We are thrilled to announce one of our plenary speakers at the upcoming conference, Dr. Vegesna Radha, Ph.D. She is the Vice President of the Asian Pacific Organization for Cell Biology and a former Scientist at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, India.

With several years in the field, Dr. Radha has devoted her career to understanding cell response, cell differentiation, and cell death. Dr. Radha’s extensive experience in cell culture and stem cell research brings decades of expertise to her plenary talk, having led the Central Cell and Tissue Culture Facility at CCMB for nearly two decades.

Join us and explore the complexities of working with human cell lines and stem cells through Dr. Radha’s talk titled “Working with Human Cell Lines and Stem Cells: Challenges & Solutions”.

Confirmed Plenary Speaker | 9th International & 17th Annual National Scientific Meeting of the Philippine Society for Cell Biology (PSCB)

We are honored to announce Prof. Ming-Jer Tang, M.D., Ph.D., the Vice President of the Asian Pacific Organization for Cell Biology, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Physiology at the National Cheng Kung University Medical College, and Director of the International Center for Wound Repair and Regeneration (iWRR), Taiwan, as one of our plenary speakers for PSCB 2026.

Prof. Tang specializes in physiology, cell and molecular biology, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, and mechanobiology. His work on tissue repair and fibrosis forms the foundation of his talk titled “An Innovative Platform to Study Myofibroblast Activation”.
