๐ผ๐ง๐๐ฌ ๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฃ (Day of Valor), observed every April 9, originated from the fall of Bataan in 1942 during World War II. Despite severe shortages of food, weapons, and strength, Filipino and American soldiers bravely fought against Japanese forces for several months. Due to extreme hardship and lack of support, they were eventually forced to surrender, which was followed by the tragic Bataan Death March, where thousands of soldiers lost their lives.
This day was established to honor their bravery, sacrifice, and love for countryโreminding us that true valor is shown not only in victory, but in courage, resilience, and unwavering faith in the face of adversity.
