United Diwata Familia

UNITED DIWATA FAMILIA (UDF) was once accidentally created by some set of strangers lead by no one. A small group that were formed amidst social intriguing clans and dramatic scenarios which took place inside the historical place of Intramuros. These set of free dwellers began to call themselves FREELANCER as they proclaimed that they were neutral whenever issues happen. Freelancer would set a unique concept, one common rule "Free Entrance & Free Exit", which states that you are free to join the group, and free to leave it as well. As the group grew, so does their reach and purpose. On weekends, or weekdays, they would schedule volunteer work in the localities of Intramuros and even in the localities of some members’ barangays. From feeding programs, to clean-up drives, and also assisting the various programs of their constituents, they just wanted to have fun while helping as well. Fast forward to 2015, and changes suddenly occurred, some of them settled down, some started their own small business, had to seek for a living, and the rest were still the same. Aldrew Sy, known as “Diwata”, unexpectedly paved way with innovation for the group, bearing the early concept and practice of the FREELANCERS, the group would change its identity to "Diwata and Friends", which originated from Aldrew and from the crazy ideas of his peers. Diwata and Friends was dubbed as the 2nd generation of the group, inside Intramuros which added another goal, to share boundless happiness to all new diwatas and bring colours to Intramuros wall". Weekly gatherings, endless bonding, bliss, and the hope in meeting new faces. The 2nd generation defined growth, beauty, and unity which later on led on its 3rd generation.. Challenged by time, Diwata and Friends evolved to United Diwata Familia, (UDF) millennials was the mainstream, expansion was inevitable, so members outside of Intramuros came, the concept of FREELANCERS and Diwata and Friends was combined, even members from remote areas or provinces had this curiosity for the so-called Diwatas which helped in sharing responsibility, love, and care for the people and environment around them with the motto of "Spread Love & Be Diwata Forever" Started as a barkadahan, UDF would turn into a youth-serving organization and now being lead humbly by mixed set of officers.
