We extend our deepest sympathy on the passing of our dear brother-in-arms, 2LT Herminigildo “B**g” Cruz, who at the age of 75 has completed his earthly mission and reported to the Lord Almighty.

His life was a beacon of discipline, service, and brotherhood. Through his tireless dedication in molding cadet officers at FEATI U ROTC, he helped shape generations of men and women who rose to become steadfast leaders in the Military, Police, and other uniformed services, as well as upright professionals in the private sector and spiritual dimension. His legacy lives on in every life he touched and every leader he helped form.

We grieve his loss but celebrate his noble contribution to God, country, and people. May his memory inspire us to live with the same courage, humility, and faith he exemplified.

Rest now, Brother B**g. Until the final roll call, when we shall meet again in the eternal fellowship of our Creator.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cruz family. May the Lord grant you comfort, strength, and peace in this time of sorrow.

Brotherly Words of Condolence and Thanks

We deeply mourn the passing of our beloved brother, Bro. Ed Padre, who was called home by our Lord while faithfully performing his duty as Chief of Security at the La Mesa Dam. His untimely departure leaves a void in the hearts of his family, his classmates at FEATI U ROTC, and his seniors and juniors who shared the bond of service and brotherhood with him.

Bro. Ed will always be remembered not only for his dedication to duty but also for his love, care, and compassion that touched everyone around him. His quiet strength and selfless service became a source of encouragement and inspiration to those who had the privilege of knowing him.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Bro. Ed—for his unwavering service to God, country, and people, and for the kindness and camaraderie he shared throughout his journey. His memory will continue to inspire us to live with the same faithfulness, integrity, and brotherly love that he exemplified.

Rest well, Brother Ed. You have fought the good fight, and your labor of love will never be forgotten. Until we meet again in our Creator’s eternal presence.

Mensahe ng Pag-asa at Pananagutan matapos ang Bagyong Crising 🌱

Sa ating mga kababayan na labis na naapektuhan ng Bagyong Crising, kaisa kami sa inyong pagbangon. Sa gitna ng unos, nawa’y manatili ang tapang, pag-asa, at malasakit sa isa’t isa.

Ang bawat kalamidad ay paalala—hindi lamang ng kahinaan ng ating kapaligiran, kundi ng ating tungkulin bilang tagapangalaga ng bayan at kalikasan. Panahon na para hindi lamang tayo magtulungan sa relief, kundi magkaisa sa long-term solutions.

Panawagan ito para sa pamahalaan, civil society, akademya, at bawat ordinaryong mamamayan:
✅ Magtanim at magpanatili ng kagubatan
✅ Pangalagaan ang ating mga ilog at kabundukan
✅ Ayusin ang paggamit ng lupa at espasyo
✅ Magpatayo ng matatag at ligtas na imprastruktura
✅ Turuan ang bawat isa ng kahalagahan ng kalikasan at kahandaan

Huwag na nating hintayin ang susunod na delubyo para tayo’y kumilos. Gawin nating turning point ang bagyong ito—mula sa trahedya, patungo sa pagbabago.

🌏 Sama-sama tayong magtanim ng solusyon, hindi lamang ng simpatiya.
💪 Tayo ang pag-asa. Tayo ang magdadala ng mas ligtas at mas matatag na kinabukasan.

Subject: A Reflection on Life, Death, and Eternity

Fellow Alumni ROTC Officers,

Death is a certainty in this world—a reality we cannot escape. It comes as a painful reminder that our time here is temporary, and no rank, strength, or preparation can stop its arrival. Yet, in the midst of sorrow, we are blessed with a promise far greater than this earthly life.

Our Lord has assured us of eternity with Him for those who accept His gift of salvation. While we grieve for the loss of a family member or a comrade, let us also take this time to reflect: Are we truly prepared for what comes after this life? Have we made the decision that determines our eternal destiny?

As leaders, we train and prepare for battles, missions, and challenges. But the most important preparation we must make is for eternity. I urge each of us to seek God, embrace His promise, and live with the assurance that, beyond death, there is life everlasting.

Let us stand together, not just in duty, but in faith. And may we find comfort in the truth that those who are in Christ never truly perish—they live on in the presence of our Almighty Commander-in-Chief.
